Great stay, clean room and pool, happy hour with snacks was appreciated! Breakfast was good at restaurant!
-
Friendly staff, great location, parking fee is very reasonable. Breakfast and complimentary happy hr drinks (2 per adult) included.

Only stayed for one night but it was a great experience! The employees at the front desk were very friendly. We loved the breakfast that was included- typical breakfast buffet items and made to order omelettes which were delicious. My kids (ages 7 and 2) loved the room, the breakfast and the elevators since you get a cool view of inside the hotel.

Facility and location was excellent. We asked for a late check out, to which was not shared with housekeeping staff. We worked late and were woke by housekeeping not once but twice. This was very frustrating.
-
Great room and very helpful staff.
-
The toilets are too low to the ground which makes it harder for some people to get down and up

The breakfast was incredible since it was fresh omelet bar made by a cook to order. The rooms were amazing because they were truly black out. Out of the 12 nights we were traveling this is the only place we all truly slept in at. Rooms are super spacious with that separate couch area and two tv's. Now the main area is so nice and impressive. Our kid's mouth dropped when we were in the courtyard. The staff was so kind especially the guys cleaning the tables from the morning breakfast. The rooms were clean. I would love to stay here again.

The hotel was great! My family really enjoyed it. Hotel offers complimentary breakfast and drinks. Breakfast was great so many options BUT the complimentary drinks…. Yeah the bartenders look at you down for being a person of color. It was a white male and white female bartenders acted so rude like it was not there job to serve you. The female served literally offered me an advice to go to SF. Aside from the bartenders acting like it was their business establishments hotel was great. I won’t be going back.

I normally would recommend this hotel, but this stay was not so good. The hotel was very full, lots of contract workers staying there (PG&E) hauling their equipment around and hanging out at the bar/music area. The bartender was alone, and so swamped that there was a constant line for free happy hour drinks and the snacks were not replenished. We didn’t get to enjoy any free happy hour because we didn’t have time to wait in line and the snacks were gone. In the morning, a man knocked on the door and said he was maintenance. I looked at him from the interior window but didn’t open the door. I never called maintenance, very weird and uncomfortable. Front desk staff were very good at check-in and check-out (but I didn’t get the emailed receipt). There was mold around the window frame/health hazard. People in a neighboring room came to room after 2 am, woke us up, and kept us awake a while. I’d give this hotel another chance, but was disappointed this trip. Otherwise this hotel has a lot going for it, but the price is also rather high.

Comp drinks and snacks in the evening and an excellent breakfast in the morning. They even make omelette to order. We now have a favorite hotel chain and we have been traveling across the country for a few weeks.

Great gym, breakfast, and games accessible for family. AC in our room didn't work. They tried fixing it, but with no luck. Couldn't relocate to another room due to our party size.
-
Front desk staff were very helpful. I needed a room on the first floor close to the enterance bc I was traveling with an elderly family member, and they were accommodated and assisted. Also, breakfast we very nice.

I booked two nights because I was the best man in my best friend’s wedding. The first day, the AC didn’t work well and after a couple of failed attempts our first night was uncomfortable. We had a few other people from the wedding party that had similar issues. I also hear another family at the front desk ask about AC and they keep saying the AC needed to be reset, not sure what that meant. The next day was not much better, but it was better. I also had to rush my new white dress shirt to the cleaners because the water had rust and damaged my shirt. At first they were going to expect me to pay some of the charges for the incident. My GF talked with front desk and they eventually waived the charges and got the dress shirt back and it was in good shape. Our toilet seat was not on very well at all and for a General Manager reference, it was room number 204. I wanted to work on my best man’s speech at the business center and when asked where it was, the front desk guy said it doesn’t work and he gave no immediate response on if they had a plan to get that network working again. Not great customer service at all. He did offer for me to send my copy to him so he could print it off once i made some revisions on my phone, not ideal, but it worked. breakfast was very good and the place was clean. I just really thought that for the expensive two night stay and having multiple issues, a reimbursement of some sort would have been offered.

The property was clean. The rooms are clean. The breakfast was good and made to order. There was a lot of options also for breakfast that you can get for yourself. They gave us two complementary drinks that we didn’t participate in. The bathroom was great. I just wish the beds were a little bit bigger and not so worn in but still comfortable. We stayed in the suite and it had two TVs. The pullout couch was decent to sleep on for the teenagers. overall, I feel like this was one of the better hotels with plenty of amenities for the price.

A/C wasn't working and hotel sent us a box fan that was so noisy you couldn't watch tv or sleep. Construction noise was very loud and woke us up every morning by 8 o'clock clock. Room also was right over the trash bins so more noise with that. Bar was out of Chardonnay so was given an inferior white which cost us $12 per glass including tax. A little over the top with that price for not very good wine. Our suite, if you could call it that, was the smallest I've ever stayed in. There was also no lunch or dinner service and the breakfast was very skimpy. The coffee was fine.
-
Staff very nice and helpful
-
Clean room, great staff when we checked in late at night.
-
The staff were friendly, and the room was clean and convenient, with free breakfast.
-
Great location, spacious rooms & free breakfast. New management wasn’t as good as prior. New owners?

Tv only worked properly some of the time. Had construction noise next or under our room that was extremely loud which started up every morning by about 8am.Room was also right above trash bins which created more racket. Indoor swimming pool was tiny and chlorine smell was unbearable. Our suite was the smallest we've ever stayed in. Had to call for a hair dryer. We would expect a fair amount of compensation from Expedia as upon checkout they told us to call you and then you call the hotel and they would confirm our very valid complaints. There is absolutely no comparison between San Rafael and Scottsdale Embassy Suites as we've never had any problems in Scottsdale. Thanks for your consideration concerning this matter and would expect your prompt attention to our concerns. Sincerely, Larry and Kathryn Yorty
