Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe

All though an aged property, management has done an exceptional job of keeping the hotel in excellent condition. The staff is very friendly and attentive to any requests.

Front desk absent 90% of time. Could not tell me how to get to Museum Hill. Not helpful

I stayed there with a friend and loved the place. When the A/C wasn't functioning well, they upgraded me to a world class room, with balcony. Staff was super helpful. I'm definitely coming back.

A comfortable older Santa Fe style hotel. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. The bar/restaurant is a lot of fun with excellent pizza and the hotel is in a great location, 3 minute walk to the Plaza.

We stayed at the hotel because we had an event in town. Wow! We were so happy with the entire experience. Most comfortable bed I have slept in in ages!! Staff was wonderful, so helpful. I love the property, so unique and very "Santa Fe". You know exactly where you are when you walk in, it is not generic and anonymous. So happy, and we will absolutely be back, even though we are local to the area!

The front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating. We were there way before check-in time, and we were still able to park in their parking garage so we could walk around the plaza until our room was ready. OMG… I loved the cookies they had in the lobby, biscochitos, my all time favorite cookie. I loved the location. We were next to the plaza, and lots of shops to see.

Hotel is in a great location, walking distance to restaurants and museums. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice and comfortable. Has s bar that serves drinks and pizza which was very good. They also have a restaurant. The area around the hotel has lots of stores to shop at and many restaurants all within walking distance. Area is very walkable and nice. There is a plaza where they hold concerts at nite. The hotel is in a great location. If you want to travel outside the area there is public transportation,uber and Lyft if you don’t have a car. In the morning the hotel puts out muffins,granola bars for the guest. They also provide water you can take to have with you while walking around the area. The Loretto Chapel and cathedral are very close by. A very popular restaurant is called the shed. If you want to eat there make a reservation ahead of time. They were booked solid the 3 days I was there and the wait for a table if you do not have a reservation the wait can be from 1 to 2 hours unless you can get a seat at the bar which only has 8 chairs. I did manage to get a seat at the bar for lunch but not for dinner. You should make your reservation before going to Santa Fe. Not sure how far in advance but it is the too go place. I would stay there again if in the area.

Roomy and great location to Plaza.

The light in the room was horrible. Couldn’t see to part my hair. The bulbs in the room couldn’t have been more than 40 watt. It’s an old hotel ,with one of the best locations in Sante Fe, with underground parking that needs to be undated. Turn ons in the shower were reversed. Sink dripped. Vanity area was tiny. Needs another mirror. Other than that, it was ok.

Great staff and quaint room. Perfect. We will be back.
