La Fonda on the Plaza

Superb

We got free upgrade to the terrace room. It was spacious beautiful room! View was amazing and we just love it! Very close to shops and staffs were super friendly. We had a valet parking and it was worth it! None at all!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at La Fonda in Santa Fe!!! The staff were very helpful and the restaurant was soooo good!! The location right in downtown Santa Fe cannot be beat. We had easy access to all of the downtown shops and enjoyed the town square that evening. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Lovely clean rooms, great dining experience. That’s where it ended. Received a lousy reception when we arrived after a very long car journey. Later in the trip, staff were openly rude and hostile, at one point asking a guest (a guest who was staying in a suite in the newer section of the hotel) if “they belonged here”. Touch grass, will not be back!

There was no hair conditioner in the shower. I am slightly handicapped and the walk to our room was very difficult.

Quality restaurant seats til 9pm Sunday and weekdays. Decent little pool and little outdoor hot tub. Friendly staff and lots of neat little shops connected to the building. Did not get to see the rooftop bar but sounded cool. A good option in Santa Fe.

There was a wedding while we were there. It looked like a really cool place to have a wedding. The wedding hall looked historic and it would be a cool destination wedding.

Location Staff not very personable. Hours of bar and restaurant should be open all day.

Pleasant

Our room was spacious, charming, and exceeded my expectations. It's in a great location and near lots of fantastic restaurants and shops. The hotel is large but did not have adequate signage to find our room and hot tub. The hostess was very friendly and helpful with assisting us. I'd return here again when we are back in town.

Excellent hotel, excellent location, clean, courteous staff, reasonable rates, and wonderful world famous patisserie on site!

The rooms are uncomfortable to sleep in, you can hear everything happening in the hallway or other rooms. The bed and pillows were not comfortable. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, and there was a stink in the room, maybe because it’s an old hotel,

Great location, you want to be on the plaza, and La Fonda is a great location. Beautiful architecture and the rooms were very nice. The poll and hot tub were great to cool off. The Bell Tower bar is awesome! They also have a beautiful restaurant, but unfortunately we never made it , but it has great reviews
