Great location. It could use a few upgrades

The property and location were wonderful. Our greeting by the valet attendant was a terrific beginning to the experience. Our room was spacious and had a balcony. We were really surprised by how little engagement most of the staff initiated. As an example, the front desk staff was always looking down or at their screens. The biggest disappointment was not being able to enjoy the 4th of July fireworks from the acclaimed rooftop bar. Though normal closing time is clearly marked as sunset, it would have seemed normal to have kept the rooftop open an extra half an hour for fireworks viewing. 250th birthday only happens once. They could have charged a cover for the event. Poor planning on their part. They shooed away over 50 disappointed guests. They last an opportunity to build goodwill and make significant cocktail money. Upon our departure, the checkout process and the bellman/valet took over 45 minutes. Not acceptable. Fortunately, Santa Fe, as a destination, was amazing.

Beds were very uncomfortable, but linens were clean. Room decor was very average. Not worth the high price. However, Lobby and public areas are traditional and charming. And location is good.

Everything was great!

The hotel and room were very nice and everyone was helpful. I am sensitive to smells and the only complaint I had was the room had a strong smell of cleaning fluid. We had to open the windows and leave the room for a while to air it out.

My husband and I stayed here 4 days for my birthday. What a wonderful hotel. We had a gorgeous room, excellent linens, maid staff and concierge were outstanding. Hotel is set up to be able to walk almost everywhere. Valet parking is spot on. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location! Right downtown within walking distance from so many attractions, shops, and restaurants!

Food was expensive for the quality.

Beautiful old facility right in the center of everything in Santa Fe. Property is in great shape considering it is under renovation . Shops and eateries are on site. Very strong staff. The best restaurant in town in my opinion.

Beautiful lobby and mezzanine, well maintained pool, comfortable and clean rooms

Historic hotel. Amazing artwork throughout.Highly recommend you take the docent led historical tour of the hotel.

Great place

As always the hotel and restaurant did not disappoint us. We had a great stay a day will come to La Fonda again.

Room was clean. The shower gel was out of soap in the shower. Also, the tissue dispenser was out of tissue. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The roof top bar was a fantastic place to sit and view the beautiful sunset.

A fascinating history, lovely communal spaces and awash with great art. Currently undergoing renovation. Noisy location. Rooms are small and cross the line between charming and tired.
