One of the 3 worst rooms i have ever had a stay after traveling world wide. We did not stay the 2nd night. We checked out and went to another property. We have had much better rooms at La Quinta at less than half the price. Dont stay here just because it is a block from the square. Stay just another 2 blocks away for better properties and you can still walk to the square. There is also public parking available if you stay further out.

Bathrooms are tiny though Rooms were quiet Beds were nice Location super good for wandering the plaza!

The staff was excellent and the rooms were very comfortable. This hotel doesn’t have room coffee makers or room service and the only way to get a cup of coffee in the morning is to go downstairs to the lobby. The coffee was good but in convenient. The bar does not open till 3:00 PM so there is no place to just sit and relax with snacks and food.

Wonderful historic luxury hotel in the middle of downtown Santa Fe. Beautifully decorated and appointed. Valet parking included in the room rate. Amazing restaurant and bar. The food was fabulous! As to location, everything close by, practically across the street! Definitely recommend staying here .

I understand the aesthetic they’re trying to portray. It was just… not for me. Our room was tiny. A queen bed in a twin size room with an oversized wardrobe (out-swing doors). I’d rather have twin bunk beds with more floor space. The AC unit was ancient. No exhaust fan in bathroom/shower. If you opened the windows in the rooms or showers, you were completely exposed. Very weird to have to use the bathroom either with a wide open window to the public or absolutely no exhaust system, fan, air conditioning, etc. There is also a floor step up and down from the room to the bathroom. If you slip on the tiles, you’re toast. Lastly, the gym and swimming pool aren’t on campus. Guests are told to go to a sister hotel. Maybe I missed the memo while booking, but it was disappointing.

Great stay, beautiful building!

Great experience. We recommend this historic property

Enjoyed our stay. Staff friendly and helpful. Room itself was "old style". The old wooden floor had "smoked" scent which I didn't care for. Bathroom dated but functional.
-
Positive: Staff were very helpful. Valet service was awesome. Location was super. Easy walk to plaza, restaurants, and shopping. (made up for the negative). A/C worked very well. Bedding was silky soft.

The staff was amazing. The hotel as a great vibe

No breakfast was not good.

Nice, historic, quiet property. Beautifully decorated. Not all the latest conveniences, but the serenity and location make up for that.

When we arrived our room was ready and we were informed that we were moved to a room with a Mountain View which was beautiful. The staff was excellent, they handled getting the car parked and carrying everything up to the room. The room was clean and comfortable. We were in walking distance to the plaza which was wonderful. I would stay here again.

The hotel was charming and welcoming. The staff could not have been kinder. Immediately felt welcome.

Wanna stay right smack in the middle of everything Santa Fe? Stay here. Amazing staff and great vintage feel hotel. Has a wonderful front porch. Great place to sit and sip a margarita while watching the world walk by!

2nd time there, will come back for a 3rd. :)

2. Room was small and not enough area to move around. 3. Construction was going on during day hours. 4. Doors were loud when opening and closing. 5. Floorboards were making noise when walking on them. Sounded like an creep show. 6. When people were walking down the halls, we could hear them talk. Had I known what the place was like, I would never have stayed.

Overall, the experience was very good. Staff was exceptional, Gabriel and Stephen went over and above to make our stay pleasant. Location was very centrally located with regards to the entertainment district. This historic property is undergoing some renovations, and we had the opportunity to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms one night. It is a great improvement over the older rooms. We cant say enough about the service at this hotel. It is nice to see that they care so much about the customer experience.
-
Can’t beat the location. The shared amenities with their other Santa Fe properties are a nice bonus.
