Hilton Santa Fe Historic Plaza

Great location. Great breakfast. Nice room. One of the elevators was broken down but we had access to the other one. Bit by bugs the first night. Be sure to pay extra for breakfast package.

Great parking, very clean room. Staff very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Location was great. It was a few blocks straight from the plaza. Which made great walking to all the little stores and restaurants.

Elevators were broken both days I stayed at the hotel. The front desk staff was inattentive when I checked in: the staffer was in her phone, chattering away and asked me to wait while she finished her conversation in Spanish. I am fluent in Spanish and she was gossiping with a friend while I waited in front of her. Then she seemed irritable to check me in.

Bruno and (sorry I failed to catch his name!) were fantastic. So accommodating they made me feel like I was their only priority. Checked on how everything was every time they saw me. Best service and hospitality I’ve ever seen! The fridge was too cold and froze some things. Not a big deal for me, I just left my sandwich out to defrost a bit. Might be an issue for others.

Pool was green, hot tub heater was broken,over half of chaise lounges were broken.

Unfortunately, a friend encouraged us to stay at this hotel in a June 2026, he did not realize how rundown this hotel had become since his last visit. The pictures of hotel on Expedia are deceiving,p entrance to the front lobby was disgusting and the entire grounds and the air conditioners in 2 rooms were are working. We heard multiple visitor's complaints, as we checked in. Change of ownership was occurring in June 2026 during our stay, the staff tried to fix broken air conditioners and plumbing problems, we paid over $ 300 a night and the price was too expensive for the quality of room we received. Sup told us he would reimburse us when we came home there was no adjustment to our credit cards. We were too tired and life got busy when we arrived home and never followed up with this hotel, and just now writing a review. This is not a nice hotel if you like clean and inviting surroundings with functioning air conditioners!

Hotel and housekeeping Staff…although limited. Location Bedding was comfortable Shower was great! Breakfast and hosts Property needed updating. Didn’t meet expectations of a Hilton Blackout wasn’t a blackout! Of 3…1 Elevator broken 1 Elevator in and out of service 3rd too far away In room…$12 for bottled H2O!? No bellman to assist with anything!? Lighting in room too dim…felt dingy Better quality of towels Going to front reception for ice and if available?? Complementary small water bottles (timing was everything)

Ok hotel, quite dated and would benefit from an update. Staff and location was great.

They had 12.00 bottles of water, which is a lot. I was so thristy I decided to pay the price and open one. The bottle needed a bottle opener. I called the front desk to ask where I could find a bottle opener in the room. They told me I would need to go back down to the front desk and bring the bottle so they could open it. REALLY! After a long day of travel I need to bring the bottle back to the desk. How about leaving bottles with a twist off in the room?

No ice machine available to guests, however you are given a small bag of ice upon request.

This is a historic hotel, so I give it credit for its age and charm however, neither the in room refrigerator and safe drinking d not work. I had to call the front desk to have a maintenance engineer replace them. And on that note the pool tile was dirty and the hot tub had no heat. I asked the maintenance engineer if he was aware the hot tub was not heating and he said “yes, the pump is broken “. Part of the hotel experience (and cost) is being able to use the amenities. When the amenities are not available, there should be some kind of disclosure.

WiFi was not accessible from my room. I had to make a video call while I was there and asked at the reception desk if there was any private space in the hotel I could use for 1/2 hour just to make the call because I couldn’t use it from my room. I Had to haggle for it. While I was waiting though someone else at the reception desk was complaining about WIfi not being accessible. We then realized the whole place was on the WiFi fritz. So I went to my room and used my phone hot spot. It was a jumpy connection but better than nothing. The staff for the most part is very friendly and accommodating. The facility overall though is looking very tired and worn. It needs a makeover.

Exceptional

Air conditioning was poor. Asked for maintenance repeatedly. Finally changed rooms the next day and that room was very good. Did not know parking was an additional $31/day. Also, I thought I signed up for breakfast at $20/day/person. After we ate breakfast they said breakfast was not included and charged me approx. $60.

We enjoyed our time at the hotel. The room was clean and the staff were very nice and helpful. The location is walking distance to restaurants, museums, churches, etc.
