Parking lot is pretty small.

Maintenance and management is very poor Need new revamp! Bed and linens were good
-
Rooms were super quiet and relatively nicely appointed in the kitschy Santa Fe adobe style. Comfy beds, but switching the synthetic quilt for a down comforter would have made that part perfect. Rooms were clean. Could use some paint touch up. Better than average hotel breakfast.

Great breakfast- so enjoyed it
-
Charming boutique inn within easy walking distance of the plaza. Room was nice and cool on a very hot day. The linens on the bed were of excellent quality. The room had so much character compared to an average chain hotel

My partner and i enjoy our stay here every time we book. We will continue to return to The Vanessie in the future.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. This is our third time staying at vanessie.

I needed some business documents printed, and Fredrico was very, very helpful

Nice, spacious rooms. NM deco. Convenient location to historic downtown Santa Fe. Wonderful restaurants walking distance from hotel.

The property was authentic and quaint. The first room we were in was spacious and the bathroom was fabulous. Carpets were stained and air conditioning didnt work. Since they could not repair it, we were moved to another room. Again, the room was very unique. Had an adobe fireplace, so cute. The bathroom was tiny but workable. The problem was ants in the bathroom. All over the floor and in the tub. The wood ceiling above had something eating away at it because there were continual wood shavings in the tub. This should be remedied before another guest stays there. Breakfasts were plentiful, varied, and good. Music in the bar was a nice touch. Staff were kind and helpful. Once these issues are ironed out, it will be a first class place to stay.

Great location- close walk to the plaza and to the Rail yard. Good parking, quiet and there is a lounge to hang out in. Our room had a court yard and an anteroom. The bathroom probably could be updated. Our friends’s rooms bathrooms were more updated so ask for a more modern bathroom.

Loved it! Will definitely be staying there again
-
Great location, great room - the bed was very comfortable, the coolers worked really well and the breakfast was fabulous! There was a tv in the bedroom and one in the living space. We would stay here again in a snap!

Finding a staff member was difficult because they were very scarce at key times during the day. When you did see them, they were less than helpful. Room was not cleaned but a tip envelope was left out. Limited access to potable water.

Lovely place and awesome staff. Woke up to sweet ants in the bed and bathroom on second day.
-
The room was a nice suite with a fireplace and balcony. However, the bathroom was in disrepair: -the door had a big chunk knocked out of it by the knob; the mirror above the sink was hung too low and covered the light switch; the shower curtain was very old and the fasteners were disfunctional - water got all over the bathroom floor; there was no towel rack by the shower - it had obviously been knocked off leaving a big gauge in the sheet-rock.

I was charged a resort fee of $30.00 upon booking and an additional $30.00 property fee, which included breakfast when I checked in. I stayed one Monday night and the bar and restaurant was not open and I left in the morning before breakfast. I requested a $30.00 refund and got no response. I do not like properties that are not transparent.

Wonderful place to stay with reasonable rates. Enjoyed the ambience which complemented the local area.

The Vanessie has a lot of charm but is in need of a little updating. I would not normally take issue w/ that except I had a lot of ants in the bathroom. There was no eating done in my room, but the ants were interested any time I ran the water & even invaded my toiletries bag & crawled into my nightguard case, so obviously I couldn’t wear it for the remainder of my stay. Hotel also gives a code(no keys) for the rooms & mine stopped working so could not get into my room. Front desk staff was not the slightest bit concerned or resourceful about taking care of these issues. Took >1 hr to gain access to my room with my purse in it. Would not stay here again. Very disappointing.

The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We loved that it’s not your cookie cutter hotel. The breakfast was very good. Convenient location for walking to plaza and restaurants if you’re still active.
