This is an interesting property to stay at if you like an old world feel. Staff are excellent. The room is very spacious, comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my stay. One negative is that no breakfast is available at the hotel.

We stay in Santa Maria quite a bit, but this was our first time at the Historic Santa Maria Inn. The hotel is so beautiful and we appreciate how difficult and expensive it is to maintain an historic building. We stayed in a suite. The jacuzzi tub was obviously a modernization that was amazing. But what we really loved was the antique furniture, curtains and overall decor. The balcony with a table and chairs was perfect! The fact that the room also had a mini fridge was also lovely. We had pretzel bites and glasses of wine at the bar for happy hour. GREAT deal, especially since there was also FREE popcorn. Later that evening we enjoyed an Irish coffee and an espresso martini...the BEST I've ever had. Thank you, Tim, the bartender. I really hope I remembered his name correctly! We enjoyed these cocktails by the fireplace just outside with restaurant with our 11 pound, very well behaved, Chihuahua mix. My husband and I will return with our pup, but we will stay longer so we can dine at one of the restaurants in the hotel.

Impressive, especially for the price. My daughter and I checked in around 11:30 p.m. for a short overnight stop while traveling to visit family. We were greeted with a wonderful, gracious welcome and quick registration. We had a room on the fifth floor with a view from the bay window over the pool. This historic hotel is worth seeing even if you didn't stay there, but the stay was clean, comfortable, and quiet. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer to also enjoy the onsite restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Loved this well priced historical property. A bit dated in decor but rooms were large and spacious! Cool hotel!

Horrible the customer service is absolutely horrible, you cannot get clean towels, you cannot get pool towels, we had a broken bed, our room was dirty, and when we addressed it nicely with staff, they were unaccommodating and extremely rude

I booked a two-night stay and checked in late at midnight. After a long day out, we discovered the toilet in our room was not working. The front desk agreed to change our room, but we had to wait nearly an hour, which was very tiring after a long day. Unfortunately, the second room also had the same toilet problem the next morning. I called for maintenance and waited almost an hour with no response, so I went downstairs to request another room. I was told no room change was possible because I booked through a third-party site. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told none was available and the supervisor would only be in at 3 PM. I was simply given a phone number to call myself, and had to wait on hold for a long time. Eventually, someone came to fix the issue, but I had already lost most of my morning and it disrupted my travel plans significantly. Overall, the experience was frustrating due to repeated room issues and poor customer service. I would not recommend this hotel.

It feels like home . Staff is the very best. Starting at the front desk with Ms Kate who is wonderful in knowledge, customer service skills, and friendliness !!!! The staff at the restaurant are awesome and the food is amazing. I love the bar as well . Great atmosphere and bartenders are top notch in both preparing drinks and carisma . I’ve stayed there many times and not once have I been disappointed in the least bit !!!

Upon our arrival the staff were nice and helpful, once we got our room we checked our beds to make sure we didn’t find any type of bugs, unfortunately, we ended up finding these strange tiny worms on the beds and we let the staff know right away. Fortunately, they managed to find a room for us and we got upgraded to a suite which was really nice and clean. Our stay was good except the whole worm situation. That was the only down side and it was also our first time at the Santa Maria Historic Inn, my only concern is that the staff need to double check the beds and clean them properly before hand.

Amazing place to say in a historical hotel on the center coast have stayed there for a total of 5 nights in the past month and a half.

Requested they not put me in the old side but they did and it is smelly and dirty. I will not even bother with booking another one with them even if it is on the remodel side.

Pictures are a bit catfish. It’s a very old building that needs to be maintained more. A bit grimey and gave you the feeling that you definitely need to check for bed bugs. Our bed was very squeaky. And it seemed like they hadn’t replaced anything in our room for years.

Beautiful hotel lobby and area. Room and bathroom were super clean. Their rates were amazing! Everyone was very helpful, courteous and friendly. The only issue I heard of from my family was the pool was dirty. Fun fact is that many of the old Hollywood stars stayed there, although I did not know that at booking. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
