No breakfast

The hotel is relatively new and modern. The rooms are clean and the staff very cordial and helpful. There is a bar in the lobby of the hotel which is great to grab a drink and relax. However, there is no TV in the bar or the lobby to watch sports. Especially during World Cup!

Bar should stay open past 10PM.

We had a restful very comfortable evening! The front desk was very helpful with great suggestions of things to see in our short stay. Highly recommend .

Friendly staff & clean room
-
All was as expected for a hotel, clean and friendly staff. Did have to ask staff for an item and there was no hesitation to provide it. Saturday night there was no parking available, but thankfully there was a lot next door that we could park in. Check in was at 4:00 instead of 3:00. We were happy to explore downtown while we waited. Overall, no problems and we were satisfied.

Clean room, friendly staff, pet friendly, nice new hotel!

The facts: THE HOTEL IS VERY “stark” looking, sterile might be a better description. Not a single piece of art (photo, painting or wall hanging except the TV in our room) above the first floor including the room) The hallways although adequately lit, are basically black and gray. The cons: No room service for the 3 days we were there. The breakfast for $22.00 per person is a complete ripoff. Two eggs and a piece of toast. And although she was very friendly, the server didn’t know how to serve the ( I use the term loosely) meal. With all the hotels in the area, we could have done better.

It’s new and clean and the staff is friendly and attentive. Rooms are well-designed and it is a great place to stay just a short walk into the heart of town.

Then he asked me to swipe again. I again reminded him this was prepaid and he assured me I wasn’t being charged anything. I thought maybe first swipe timed out or something. I got up to the room and saw 2 charges on my card. One for $50 and another for $330. I got in touch with my card provider and Expedia. Expedia was no help at all. I went to the front desk and the same gentleman that checked me in was there. He called over the manager (both men were very polite) who helped me. He told me that when you prepay with Expedia, they provide the hotel with a virtual card to charge and there was an issue with Expedia’s virtual card and it was declined (even though I paid 2 weeks earlier through Expedia). After some back and forth he promised that he had cancelled the $330 charge and at midnight it would be reversed. Nothing happened and I still don’t have my refund. So beware using Expedia and prepaying. Their customer service will leave you high and dry and make you double pay.

While the hotel is lovely to look at and appears to be clean, we did encounter some problems worth noting. We found a large stain on the top sheet on one of the beds which was upsetting. There was never any water in the room and we were told consistently that they ran out and the supply had not been received yet. I think the biggest problem for us was the breakfast which was $22 all you can eat or as little as you can eat. We are not big eaters so spending $55 (this includes a tip) for a huge breakfast is a waste of money. I did note that other hotels offered free breakfast so that is something that would, in my mind, be beneficial to this hotel. Lastly and not highly important, there were no tissues in the tissue box, no closets except for a rack where they placed 6 hangers. The highlight of the hotel though was Conan who works at the front desk. He was very knowledgeable about restaurants, locations, directions, etc. and always approached us with a smile on his face.....a gem!
