Reviews
-
It was fairly close to the center of town.
-
The rooms needed some upgrades. No hot cookie at check-in.

The hotel room was quite dirty. The bathroom sink was fully clogged and when we told them in the morning, they never actually got to it. When we got back to the room at 9:00 p.m. it was still clogged and when I called the front desk they said oh yeah, we forgot to write down the room number when you told us. They did send somebody after 9:00 p.m. but when you fix the drain it left the bottom of the drain still leaking so the floor was all wet. Also, the AC unit was not really connected to the thermostat on the wall so it was either freezing in the room or nothing at all. Also for some reason the carpeting was just moist and damp the whole time.

The first room I was given the bed was dirty. I moved to another room. The bed was clean but the bathroom sink and floor was dirty. The room had dust and dirt in various places. The table in the room had ashes on it like someone was smoking in there before I got the room. I won't be back. The cost was expensive for very little quality.

The room was great. The grounds and inside were well kept.

Place was nice, 17 bucks for breakfast was crazy. Plug in our room on the lamp didn't work and that was a problem as we couldn't use our C- pap machines. Other than that it was a nice stay

Great stay. Close to everything I needed.

Everyone, especially the folks at the front desk and the hotel restaurant were beyond fabulous. Everybody was wonderful our waiter on Wednesday night held down that place like a pro. He was so attentive in giving and kind and excellent employee. The front desk gentleman was fabulous. Great job hiring folks.

I felt the staff handle things in a very professional, courteous and understanding manner even though many patrons were inappropriately blaming them for the problem Overall, everyone affiliated with the hotel provided excellent service especially the restaurant and bar staff who went above and beyond lend beyond providing patrons with extra service We look forward to our next stay at the Double Tree !

I had a wonderful stay at the Hilton in Schenectady. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. The location was convenient, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The room and beds weren’t clean, bathroom door didn’t close completely, and taking a hot shower sets off the fire alarm. If I hadn’t just driven 12 hours I would have asked for a refund and left

Very convenient to downtown area

The first issue was that the bathtub would not drain. We called the front desk several times, but no one answered the phone. I eventually had to go downstairs to report the problem in person. Thankfully, someone came to fix it. After that, we hoped the rest of our stay would be enjoyable. Unfortunately, when it was time to take a shower, we discovered that the body wash dispenser was completely empty. This should have been checked before guests arrived. These basic issues—an unusable bathtub, an unattended front desk phone, and empty bathroom amenities—show a lack of attention to guest service and room preparation. This was not the experience we expected, and based on our stay, I would not recommend this hotel. I hope management will take these concerns seriously and improve its housekeeping and customer service standards so future guests do not have the same experience.

The doble bed room very small and the bathroom small the door slide door no privacy.
-
The fire alarm malfunctioned and went off at 3am & 5am waking everyone up no apology no explanation. I understand things happen but this was not handled well at all.

Staff were nice and professional. I needed towels and the front desk staffer was able to accommodate quickly. The room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable. They were able to get me and my group on one floor. The rooms seem a little dated. Im not sure if they all look like this or if they have rooms they give to those who book on 3rd party sites. But the fixtures in the room and furniture seemed dated. The shower didnt allow you to slide both sides of the glass doors so you had to step in and get wet/cold, no water warm up option without getting wet. Bathroom was small for two people. We were only there one night. Cool for what we needed

The room was very clean and beds comfortable. The water view was very relaxing. They had a variety of food for breakfast, which made you feel like you were in an all inclusive resort. I would definitely stay again in this hotel.

Everything is tiny and cramped which is annoying for 250 bucks a night.
