The Stockade Inn

This was a lovely hotel in a great historic neighborhood in Schenectady. The rooms were beautiful and well appointed. Nice in hotel coffee shop.

We can’t speak highly enough about our stay at the Stockade Inn. Its historical renovation is well underway yet the rooms and public spaces are comfortable, well appointed and spacious. The ambience of the entire Inn, including the coffee shop and the yoga studio, is totally zen. And if you are a history buff there is no better place to stay while visiting Schenectady than the Stockade.

Everything was clean and tidy. So beautiful for such an old building, striking really. The staff was wonderful, breakfast would have made it better however there’s a pretty neat coffee shop on property. The stay was fantastic, beds were cozy and it really couldn’t have gotten much better.

Hotel was very nice but needs updating. Shower needs more pressure.

Love the unique history of this property. Our room was very spacious, clean, bright, and comfortable. Also appreciated being able to securely store our bikes inside the building. Very walkable to restaurants, a breakfast cafe, and the historical district. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Staff was incredibly friendly, room clean and comfortable, new coffee shop a nice addition. We look forward to watching the inn continue to develop.

The room was very nice and staff were very friendly and helpful. Wonderful location. My only complaint is while the towels were large enough and very soft they did not absorb water very well. The was a very nice coffee shop in the hotel. The building is historical and they are still working on some of the details so anticipate things getting even better

Very helpful staff that enjoy showing off the unique details of this hotel. Comfortable room. Struggled with the shower in the morning but the staff assisted me. Also struggled with the TV, they have no regular TV access but set me up on Netflix after I asked about it. Night table lamp bulb was going, but worked at first. Complimentary water was nice. Friendly place, nice neighborhood.

The owner and staff were very accommodating and the room was fine. The hotel's location in the heart of the historic district of Schenectady was excellent.

Amazing location!

This was our first stay at the Stockade Inn and there was filming going on Friday so things were chaotic but the staff was very helpful and we were given a $20 gift card to Arthur’s which we used for breakfast on Saturday. The room had not been vacuumed when we checked in but the staff was quick at responding and gave us a discount too. A new coffee shop opened on Sunday morning and had great bagels and baked goods for sale. Overall we enjoyed our 3 night stay and will return.

Historical property with a great back story. The location was close to eateries and history. The help with the luggage in was nice as there were stairs. Recents renovated and the owners/managers were super nice! Parking wasn’t an issue! Some of the area is a bit dicey. I felt safe in daylight hours.
