Best Western Plus St. Paul North/Shoreview

This was hands down THE worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I always read reviews before booking and I felt truly deceived when I got there with my family. The main check in area was clean, but once we walked into our room, we felt the moisture in the room immediately. It was so musty and damp in there that it was hard to breathe. The room was also very old and dated and I am pretty sure there has to be mold under the carpets all over that room. I went out to let them know we want to check out first thing in the morning, so we were able to pay for only a one night stay. When we woke up in the morning, my husband's phone would not charge as it said there was moisture detected in in. At check out time, the staff member asked how our stay was and I mentioned the damp room immediately to which she responded that it's an old hotel and we were supposed to ask for a dehumidified to run in our room. Like what even?! I would not stay here again if it was free. Please just book your stay anywhere else!

Breakfast was generous with extended hrs till 2:00 pm . Best breakfast . We had good time.

Hotel was good. The restaurant next door had excellent food and the staff was great. Breakfast at the hotel was very good. Only complaint is that the room smelled musty and had a dehumidifier in it, so obviously they know moisture is a problem.

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, nice areas for chatting with friends.

Rooms were nice and clean, staff were friendly, and helpful, breakfast was average, heating/cooling in rooms were quiet and worked as they should.

Our room was very damp and had a musty smell because of this. Our bed felt wet sleeping in it. The hotel for the most part is decent but definitely in need of some maintenance. The pool area was showing its age (cracks/holes in hot tub grout, metal rusting). Breakfast was pretty good.

The pool was so cold it couldn’t be used. The hot tub was out of order but people were still in it. The hotel staff corrected my child who was running to her dad. Beds are hard as a rock. Best part was the Red Robin very close for dinner.

The staff we encountered all week was awesome! Very friendly and professional. Our room was a little musty smelling, it got a little better after we had been there a few days. Bed was comfortable. I really liked that they didn't have daily housekeeping, only by request. The housekeepers we encountered in the hallway to change out our towels or get supplies were super sweet. The Green Mill restaurant being attached was convenient. And the coffee in the lobby was delicious, some of the best I've had from a hotel. They had a cool game room in the pool room, but we only stopped in to look.

This is our choice hotel for kids summer camp purpose. There was a tournament at the same week we stayed so it was fully booked in a mid week night. Surprisingly it was well maintained in all public area. Front desk ladies and gentlemen are very patient and helpful to navigate and resolving a little bit of an issue with the system. Helen is so approachable and she helped me for booking future stays and such a pleasure to ask her questions about all amenities in this hotel. Pool and mini arcade were enjoyable. Outdoor grill and garden space are nice touch you don’t typically see in other hotels. Room AC is powerful made the hot days easy to deal with. It directly connected to Green Mill which we enjoyed paste and pizza and other delicious food on multiple nights. All in all top choice for our shoreview area stay. Parking is super easy. Close to highway and shopping area and other restaurants/fast food.

Everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast was excellent and offered gluten and dairy free choices. We will absolutely be staying again!

It’quiet

Great and friendly staff. Close location to National Sports Stadium only 15 minute drive.

It seemed very noisy. In addition to normal hotel noise, the a/c sounded like there was something stuck in it and was very loud. Also the bedding wasn't too comfy.

Good place, good dollar value.
