Comfort Inn Sioux City South

The property is in need of serious repair. Carpet is filthy and needs vaccumed but mostly replaced. Walls need repaired and painted. The rooms were nicer looked like they had been updated. Debating whether I would stay there again.

Drove up to people smoking right by the front door and a pickup with the back full of guys smoking and drinking. Left and came back that evening to them still drinking and others sitting out by a couple of the doors just sitting in the landscaping. Building in bad shape- carpet in need a being changed or minimally at least stretched rather than bunched up. Grout in bathroom filthy, walls had pieces missing, room smelled of urine…. Would NOT recommend.

We loved the additional daybed. The room was very comfortable. The sides of the tub were very high, making it difficult for older, shorter women to access. Although we did appreciate the grab bars.

We were very pleased with our entire experience. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. The breakfast was hot and plentiful. The only thing I would suggest is to update the carpets in the rooms, lobby and hallways. They were worn and stained. This location will be our new go-to place for future visits.

Location was excellent, the breakfast was perfect. Comfortable room and the staff took good care of us. No elevator. This should be noted. We travel with our cat which involves a kennel, litter box, litter and a carpet sweeper. These are in additional to our own personal bags. The gentleman at the desk was quick to give us an excellent room on the first floor near the door after I asked where the elevator was. Everything worked out, our overnight was excellent.

Not one thing was appealing about the hotel facilities. Dirty common areas, mildew smells, unfriendly staff. Dirty dark dingy hallways, I decided to leave feeling unsafe and uncomfortable with the environment.

We booked a jetted tub suite, jets didn't work, tub was dirty and gross. Room was run down and in need of major cleaning/repair. Wall behind fridge exposed pipes for tub. Upon complaining to front desk about non-working tub, she said "none of our tubs work" um, then don't book them! Was told a manager would call me 8/30, STILL waiting for a call!

There was no curtains on the window and the lights from the street in the parking lot shine in the room all night, and you can see through the shade

Rooms were clean but property wasn’t. Staff was nice and helpful.

This property is in dire need of a renew. The exterior was newly painted but that was putting lipstick on a pig. Several guests were smoking at both of the entries I used and the accumulation of butts indicated this is the norm. This is not an 8/10. At best a 6

Carpets were filthy both the hallway and the room.

The property it’s clean , and the staff is very helpful and the amenities were good and we enjoyed our stay .

The bathroom door didn’t close because of rust on the top of the door frame. Also there was mold in the bathroom along the walls and ceiling! Attached photos. Outlets didn’t work, so their bedside light didn’t work and charger station didn’t work, which was super frustrating!! They had a great breakfast with hot and cold options, which was super convenient. Had scrambled eggs and sausage, with options to make waffles and cereal! The 3 queen room is very spacious and recommend they get a pull-out couch in there so they could fit more people! Most of all didn’t see any bedbugs! Yay!

The room had a mold and mildew smell to it The door never latched enough to be able to use the dead bolt lock and every time the outer door opened the door would make a noise of someone trying to get in

None breakfast was delicious

The cleanliness. The pool floor was full of scum, the toilet in our room had rust all around the bottom. The room smelled of old smoke.
