Residence Inn Sioux Falls

Staff are not helpful if your room is uninhabitable. Staff may be the ones stealing from cars parked in the parking lot. Not a safe place to be if you are allergic to chemicals and perfumes.

I was expecting a more updated hotel based upon the price we paid. It was average at best and smelled like a typical musty older hotel that needed updates. The breakfast was nothing to write home about. Only 2 hot items plus the standard waffles and cold items. We went out for breakfast. Beds were very comfy, however! Again, it was decent but for the money, expected better.

My husband and I are retired and travel a lot. That being said, we were in Sioux Falls just to visit the area for an anniversary. From check in to check out our stay was amazing. Room very nice, updated, clean, every staff member amazing and kind. Bed comfortable, great breakfasts, nice pool, exercise and outdoor areas. Texas Roadhouse and Applebees very close by. We stayed at the hotel one whole day just because we so much enjoyed the space. The only things that were a little bothersome was that we requested NO housekeeping and while we were gone one day, they had entered anyway and had I known, I would have guarded some personal items better. Also if the front desk had mentioned that there would be an incidental charge that would drop off after check out I would not have had to call and figure that out later. Overall, we would DEFINITELY stay here again.

The Residence Inn in Sioux Falls is a very "tired" property. The rooms and hallways need updating badly. The outside lobby entrance/appearance/landscaping is not appealing. The televisions were not working for two days while we were there. The breakfast had a nice variety of hot and cold food. The breakfast staff was excellent. Close proximity to the District, Texas Roadhouse and the Empire Mall is a plus. Just please upgrade this property!!

Quiet area and our room was ok sized! It also wasn’t overly busy and they had a nice outdoor space for the teens and their parents to sit and talk. Pool was not over populated and they had a fitness space! Our Breakfast ladies were also so very sweet! It was a bit dated for the price! Also the spoiled chocolate milk we took a drink of was not on my Bingo card! The ice machine was down so we had to go buy ice for our coolers when we were trying to leave but the fridge on the room held alot so that was helpful!

GREAT STAFF! Smaller gathering space , breakfast area, or Lobby than most Residence Inns. Clean Rooms. Great area as can walk to the Empire Mall! Excellent restaurant a 1 minute walk called ROAM. GREAT LOCATION!

Every single staff member was a pleasure to interact with. We couldn't have been happier with the staff. On the negative side, the pool was down when we got there, however the next day it was open. Also, the only ice maker is out of order. The furniture is tired and worn throughout the facility. The chairs in the breakfast area and in our room need to be replaced. In my opinion, I would say the hotel is several years overdue for an upgrade. I'm surprised that Residence Inn doesn't hold the owners to higher standards. Details, details, details. The kitchen in our room had only one fork, we asked for more and we never got anymore utensils (they probably don't have extras, so we grabbed plastic from the breakfast bar, and there were no microwavable cooking vessels just cheap stainless steel pots that were functionable for stovetop cooking. The breakfast was ok not great. We stayed 5 nights so after a while eating the same type of potato grew old. They did change up the protein each day thankfully.
