Perfect for our girls trip

We wanted a quick getaway to the island but didn’t want to be at a hotel with kids all around. We picked here because of the adults only, and we loved the vibe! Very laid back, relaxing. The pool is super cute, and clean, and the bar was great. Food was good too, there was a live band, and we enjoyed that. The rooms was very simple, bed, small table and chairs, Nothing fancy. Bed was comfy. I wish they had a full body mirror. The beach is super close by and the beach access is great with restroom and showers. Over all we had a great stay and would definitely stay again.

No elevator to 2nd floor. Concern for older people or those with physical disabilities. If you like live music, that is great but it can be just loud. The indoor area was enclosed which was nice but the banana leaves were black and others looked diseased. They desperately need attention and pruning. If possible, I would say don’t go during the tourist season as it is twice as expensive and crowds are everywhere for the small island. Early May is good or the end of August or early September.

This is a unique and fun property. If you enjoy an eclectic experience with a staff that is kind and accommodating then this will fill the bill. I recommend calling them directly for reservations if you have any questions.

Excellent location however, the bar and pool area were also open to the public. We came back from eating dinner and had no place to park at the hotel because it was full with the public bar parking. The owner said our stay did not include guaranteed parking. There wasn’t any parking available in the street either. We were not allowed to bring our own alcohol into the pool area since it was part of the bar, if we wanted something to drink, we had to buy from them. The water pressure in our room was horrible! It was very difficult to shower plus it went from extreme hot to extreme cold. Our room was in the back corner by the bar. The loud music and crowds were heard ALL night long in our room, we absolutely got terrible sleep for 3 days. The staff were really nice but I will not stay there again. The bar business was more important than the people staying in the rooms. Our money would not have been refunded as the owner stated people do not get their money back if they are unhappy. Wonderful location but not worth the money.

Room was perfect for what we needed. Enjoyed the vibes at the hotel. When we were there they were celebrating a birthday and had a fun crowd. Enjoyed the proximity to the beach and bars. And met some nice people. Definitely gonna come back.

Staying at Upper Deck was seriously AMAZING! From the staff to the amenities, everything was great. My husband and I had a blast hanging out by the pool all day and ate wonderful dinners prepared by the bar chefs. We can’t wait to go back to SPI just to stay here again!

Great place to stay! Our room was very clean, roomy, and comfortable. We enjoyed the bar and live music. They also served great food! We had a short stay but the best part was we did not have to leave the hotel....eat, drink and be merry on site! The staff was friendly and customer service was great as well. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Fantastic location! It was great to be able to walk to the beach, but also to be able to grab a drink at the bar and take a dip in the pool or hot tub. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be that the room was a bit warm and humid even with the A/C (mini splits) cranked up.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Upper Deck. Every single person that works there was nice, responsive and polite. I could not have asked for a better experience. This place is comfortable. Easiest way to say it. It is not the Ritz but, it is very welcoming. My room was clean, the bathroom was clean, the sheets were clean and the air conditioning worked beautifully. I cannot say enough about the bar\kitchen staff. I was greeted on a first name basis with everyone, even before I had a chance to introduce myself. I will 100% recommend and stay at Upper Deck again. Staff was amazing! Food was great! The price is right! Special shout out to Marg and Cricket. Prepare yourselves, I will be back!!

Excellent bar and food. Great hot tub and pool. Band played nightly until ten pm which you can hear in your room. Bed was lumpy, needed blankets. Cheap appliances. Uncomfortable couches in retro 2 bedroom.

The restroom didn’t work, several times we had to call front desk, and they said they’d go and didn’t. The beds were horrible as well
