Exceptional

​The staff here was very helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. However, the room space was a bit tight. The washroom felt quite outdated, and unfortunately, the toilet broke towards the end of our stay. It’s a decent option, but the rooms could definitely use some maintenance and updating.

This year it seemed as if the upkeep wasn’t the same. But it was still a nice place to stay.

Bad

It was good. The room smelled like cigarettes, and the breakfast choices were not really good.

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience and were uncomfortable staying here due to poor cleanliness and uninhabitable conditions upon arrival. The shower, all door handles, floors, walls, bedding and furniture were visibly dirty. The drywall was cracked in multiple places and peeling, the ottoman cushions were ripped and torn. I went right back downstairs, explained my concerns with the front desk and they were very helpful with immediate checkout and how to claim a refund. Expedia was phenomenal with the quick service and refund as well. The customer support I received was great all around, but I will say that we will never be booking a stay here.

Their staff is always so welcoming and helpful. The only downside is the train tracks are very close and you can hear it when the train comes through at 1:00am & 5:00am.

Pool was not clean ,water filter was running but not strong. Breakfast was fair, eatable

Our room smelled like smoke. Cigarette stains on tables. The room was older and needs to be remodeled. The breakfast was minimal. The lobby was very nice and so were the staff. More than likely we won't be back to this hotel.

When first got there I thought older front desk lady was rude and snippy with answers or response. Younger gentlemen who replaced that evening was pretty cool and had a good vibe.

New room was clean, but some furnitures were quite worn out. Needs more up keep. Shampoo and body wash were not refilled. Breakfast scrambled eggs were poor, tasted like dry breadcrumbs. Got 3 stars because of friendly front desk staff!

Staying at the comfort inn was a good value and the staff was very nice. Staying in Southgate was central to all the meetings that I needed to attend.

The staff accused me of taking towels when I asked for fresh towels on the third night. They said they had left some by the door already, and that I must have taken them and also the pool had way too much chlorine in it, and my grandchildren and daughter became ill. We told the front desk politely, and then the two days later we asked if the chlorine levels were better now and the maintenance man became offended and then when I checked out on Monday the 13th, which is today after she gave me my receipt as I was packing up things, she ran out the cashier front desk person to ask About extra towels and a blanket that we have them. I’ve never seen anything like that and one of the older women in home housekeeping kept following us around to see what we were doing as we got ice before we left for our cooler never seen anything like it felt so uncomfortable and disrespected.

It was a great stay! We’ll be back soon!
