Spanish Villa Inn

Great location, nice and quiet.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The hot water was plentiful and the AC worked well. The outdoor patio furniture was not clean and neither was the patio, cobwebs and dirt everywhere. The electrical outlets were hit and miss. Sometimes they charged our devices and other times, not. We were under the assumption there would be a continental type breakfast, but that didn't happen. In fact, when we emerged from our room at 8am the following morning, there was remnants of coffee, but none to be had for us and no one about to ask for more. We left for the day to go wine tasting and sight seeing only to return to a locked villa. We were only able to get in because a previous guest had left a back patio door unlocked. When the owner returned, he was shocked the housekeepers had locked everything up. We even had our things still in the room we were occupying. The entire experience was a little creepy when being in the Villa all alone with no lights, AC, or a person to ask. After the evening encounter with the owner, we never saw him again. In fact, I am not even sure he was in the Villa at night, even though the doors were now unlocked. Overall the experience was strange and I would not recommend staying here. We will not be returning.

When we got there at 5 pm the host was not there, house was completely unlocked. The rooms were not cleaned nor was the kitchen. When asked if anyone else was staying on property very vague answer. Place was very dated needs to be upgraded. Felt like the host was watching us at all times.

If you are looking for peace and quiet this is it. It’s a nice house it’s definitely quiet we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. It needs a little TLC !

The owner met us at check in and gave a tour of the property. He was exceptionally accommodating and made the stay even more enjoyable.

The Owner was very friendly and helpful.. I felt very comfortable stay alone at the villa .. I'm a TV watcher, It would have been nice to have a little TV in the room but I have to say, it was nice a little piece and quite.

The property is beautiful and the house is charming. Dr. Roy is a lovely host. The room was comfortable and the en suite bath was perfect. We had a little enclosed patio area just outside our room as well. The location is also fabulous - very convenient for everything we did on our trip. Really just small preference things - certainly nothing that would keep me from recommending. The mattress was very very soft - a little too soft for us. Also, you can’t control the AC and there is not a fan in the room. We opened the patio door at night, but without a fan to keep the air circulating, it slept warmer than we typically prefer.

Beautiful grounds and landscaping; beautiful old home with unique furniture. Friendly and accommodating staff. Noticed a few cobwebs around, no TV in room.

We had the whole villa to ourselves. Dr. Roy was like an old friend.

The inn is lovely; it has a beautiful European vibe, and it was VERY quiet. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was nice. It would have been lovely to have had the outdoor space (we had an attached patio) put together with a nice table, chairs, plants, etc.

Location The entire house smelled of old must/dirty. The person is a hoarder and there is just junk and stuff everywhere. GROSS!

the home is beautiful older Spanish style with lots of cozy character. As it really is a B&B type property, I think it would add value to have an easy typical help yourself breakfast set up. I looked for it and then realized there wasn’t any. The add does not include breakfast but the property itself would get a better rating with this inclusion The en-suite tap water took a long time to find heat.

Good location. Close to St Helena and Charles Krug Winery and jazz shows. This place is not exceptional in anyway. Cleanliness was very questionable. The decor was very tired and overall is needing a remodel, bad.

The proprietor Roy is excellent I liked it all
