AWOL Stowe

Fantastic stay. The hotel is new, clean, very comfortable, and feels incredibly upscale for the price. My husband and I had a relaxing few days and loved that we could bring our pup along. Great cocktails, delicious breakfast, charming staff, and fire pits at night where you can enjoy a drink under the stars. We’d absolutely stay again.

Not what we expected, room was dirty and carpet needed to be replaced. Hot tub looked to dirty to go in, area was nice but breakfast was at 8am. which is a big turn off for early risers.

There were lots of little nats in our bathroom by the light over night, but not in our bedroom.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. The grounds are fantastic with fire pits and hot tubs and the sauna and hammocks. It really draws in a community of people rather than just going about your stay.

Wonderful place to stay with an outdoor feel of being in the forest. I will definitely recommend to others. The breakfast was amazing! The staff was very friendly and helpful.

I've been staying at Lark Hotels for the past 12 years. They are all amazing with such attention to detail, modern design, and thoughtful staff. AWOL was no different. We stayed in an A Frame cabin which was darling. Next door to another Lark property (more family friendly) and we could use their pool. Overall, love, love, love AWOL and Lark!

A very unique place to stay! Rooms were calm, comfortable, with excellent bedding. Bathroom was modern with a wonderful shower. Step outside to 2 hot tubs, a sauna (we didnt use), and a fire pit. The breakfast was a European style delight with yogurt, fruit, crusty bread, jams, etc.

The hotel has a cozy, relaxing atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. We especially enjoyed being so close to the Stowe recreation Path. One of our favorite hotel amenities was having complimentary elevated breakfast. Loved the amazing homemade bread each morning. We had an amazing ride along the Stowe Recreation Path, another trip highlights was taking a dip at Glenn Moss Fall. Overall, AWOL Stowe exceeded our expectations. The exceptional hospitality, comfortable accommodations, and thoughtful amenities made for a memorable stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Stowe!

Very quiet and pleasant, close to town and dining out. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, so fresh, breads were delicious. My room provided enough privacy, I felt like I was staying in a cabin in the woods.

Everything! The style, rooms, and area. I wish they had a full service restaurant or more food options.

Room was dark and dingy and smelled very strongly of firewood or fireplace smoke. Pictures online make the room seem bright and modern, instead it was dark and rundown (and old and painted over), very misleading, very disappointing. We left early!

Totally enjoyed our stay here. It was rainy and wet but being in the mountains and enjoying the cool air away from Florida's heat was a treat for us. Every person we met was extremely friendly and refreshing. The hotel was excellent - beautiful comfortable room, delicious breakfast and perfect location. Highly recommend AWOL Stowe.

Would highly recommend AWOL. Excellent location walkable from the village, but also far enough to feel like you are in your own retreat. We stayed in the lodge and the room was very nice—good bed, TV, bathroom, amenities. The breakfast is terriific and much better than the standard free continental breakfast. It was rainy so didn’t use the hot tubs, hammock, etc. but it was all there.

Our cabin was cleaned every day! They did a great job! We encountered the Staff few times during our time there, they were helpful and friendly! The hot tub was nice. Breakfast room was nicely laid out and a great opportunity to socialize!! My favorite spot aside from the cabin would definitely be the fire pit!! There were a few restaurants in walking distance. There were a lot of attractions in the area to take advantage of!! Can’t wait to go back.
