Bluebird Cady Hill Lodge

Property was great. When we checked in, there was a black bear in the forest, which was pretty interesting to see. Sat around the fire pit at night, which was very relaxing. Many of the kids at the place. Enjoyed the pool. Nice seeing kids had activities to do. Only negative aspect was the mattress was getting towards the end of its life. Could invest in a new mattress. Other than that, everything met our expectations.

Room was nice size. Clean, beds were comfortable. Could use a little more lighting. Nice outside patio with pretty view. However the chairs were horrible. Very uncomfortable! Great if your kids. But when you’re in your 60’s. They stunk! We will definitely return hoping to find they upgraded their chairs!

- Sofa was SO old and scratchy, almost unable to sit on it without putting something on top - Pull out sofa bed was so caved in it was unusable - Lighting was VERY minimal and VERY dim - Not all bathrooms had an outlet, which is expected - Suggest having an outlet by the mirror in the main room so that a second person can dry their hair or use a hair (curling or straightening) iron while the other person is in the bathroom - One of the rooms had 2 bedside lights mounted, but one of the lights was so far from the bed that you couldn't reach it from bed - Even rooms (e.g., King) with one bed should have at least one chair in it to sit in while not in bed - Bathrooms should have shelving and hooks or racks for towels

Best little place in Stowe. Close to everything. Comfortable room. Bed was great. Kind of a cabin feel. Stayed in the Switchback rooms. No stairs. Lovely.

Exceptional

My boyfriend and I stayed for two days arriving in the late evening (830pm). The check in woman was super nice! Had our keys ready right when we go there! I had booked through Hotels and they responded timely to my messages concerning check in prior to arrival. The room was very clean and organized. Our balcony room appeared to be near storage for the property so there was a property truck outside but we only ever heard anyone once. The food on property was okay, had Mac and cheese and bbq popcorn chicken. The Mac and cheese was decent but the chicken tasted just like frozen chicken with no real crunch. They do offer free water and coffee in the lobby area which was nice while we relaxed. I would definitely stay again!

Love the environment and home decoration option they choose. The lobby area are so cute. They have small gym and two pools and sauna. The sauna we didn’t get a chance to use, was out of order.

It was a very beautiful place especially for the price. We did not have anyone come in and clean the rooms during the day but not sure if they offer that there. The pools were nice the staff was great. It was a very enjoyable stay.

They've done a nice job modernizing an old property. We were int he single track. Room was dark and slightly odd, but comfy bed and beautiful property. Staff was kind and helpful. The doorbell at the desks was smart and effective. I wish they'd heat the pool! It's VT!

The most disappointing part was the pool (both indoor and outdoor) was not in great shape. Dirty and cloudy water in both. Outdoor pool was obviously not well maintained. Sauna was out of order...bummer. Fitness center was basically just a few pieces of low value equipment. Location was good. Would not stay here again.
