Clarion Pointe Sulphur - Lake Charles

The room was filthy. Hair, stains, and trash on the floor and in the bed. I wish I could upload pictures, you would be grossed out. The floor looks as if it hadn't been mopped in months. The linen was soiled. The bathroom was cringe. My family and I left the hotel and checked in across the street. I am so disgusted. I will never book here again.

Water all over the floor at the air conditioning and it was making funny noises. Changed us rooms at 12:30 AM and they were both hot rooms … and they wouldn’t cool off until five hours later so we barely slept. I should have just slept in my car. Trying to get a refund is impossible. Called the hotel numerous times to speak to the manager because they said he was not available when I was checking out to let them know how awful it was. No one is returning my call. I have pictures and video. Trying to get checked in and they were training someone and we got in there late around midnight so by the time everything was done, we didn’t get to sleep until 1:40 in the morning.!! and then I had to try to sleep without hot!!! They claimed the maids turn the air-conditioning off in the other rooms when they clean them I don’t understand that!! and I paid to stay at a better hotel and got this instead….

Modern and how close it was from lake Charles for me Room looks like it was not cleaned before we entered it only look like the bed was cleaned and restroom and ignored everything else and when asked to clean certain things they half did it or didn’t do it at all

Beds were comfortable Breakfast was little disappointing. There was not much options and juice from juice machine were not fresh they were tasting bad coffee was also cheap quality. We had to walk to gas station to get coffee

The property was nice, the staff was knowledgeable, the breakfast was a continental self service breakfast, the pool looked clean, the bed were comfortable and the water pressure was great

The place smelled like skunk weed, the shower head was broken and sink leaked. Not very nice place as pictured.

Someone came into our room before check out could have been undressed or been not a good outcome please make sure to let staff know that could cause major problems thankfully I’m understanding

This place was for the working man. They are quiet and most of the people come in early evening and leave very early morning. The parking situation leave a little to be desired. Its like sardines trying to park a big SUV in with a bunch of crew work trucks and vans. They did have VERY COMFY beds and lots of pillows on each bed. The place did have some ware. You can tell it gets lots of use. The fixtures in the bathroom on the shower and toilet were very worn. An it was a little stained. The place was still clean but could use a good steam clean in areas. AC worked great but was like on a motion sensor thing and i felt like during the night it kicked up the temp if you were not moving and it did get warm. If you waved your hand around the fan kicked on and it started cooling down again. IDK it that is true Just seemed to be how it worked out for us we only stayed a few days. Hubby was not bothered by the temp but he is not getting hot flashes and night sweats like me either LOL. We will totally stay here again. They did have not waffles but only one maker so you did have to wait if other people were in the lobby when you were. May be they could get another one also!

As a truck driver, I liked how close it was toto the truckstop and restaurants. It was clean and very comfortable.
