Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Sulphur (Lake Charles)

The parking situation at this property is completely unacceptable. The hotel has allowed utility trucks and vehicles with trailers to monopolize the regular guest parking areas, leaving customers with nowhere to park. As a woman traveling alone, I have on more than one occasion been forced to park more than three blocks away in an ungated area and walk back to the hotel carrying my belongings at 1 in the morning after a long day of work . Most concerning was arriving back at the hotel at 1:00 a.m. and having to walk through a dark, poorly lit field to reach the building. At no point should a guest—especially a woman traveling alone—be placed in a situation where her personal safety feels compromised because the hotel has failed to properly manage its parking. Adding to my frustration is the fact that guests are prohibited from parking near the front entrance, even temporarily or in the interest of safety, while the overnight attendant and the morning manager regularly park there themselves. I stay at this hotel frequently and spend a considerable amount of money here each year. For loyal customers to be treated as an afterthought while trucks taking up 3 and 4 spots in the parking lot is disappointing and unacceptable. Guest safety & security was overlooked here.

My sweet was comfortable and had really good bed.

Stay here for a softball tournament. They room was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff was friendly also.

We had a wonderful stay the room was very clean and one staff member went above and beyond she was very helpful and gave us some great tips on where to eat I only wish I would have gotten her name but she is the room inspector wonderful personality and customer service was top tier

The bathroom door wouldn't stay closed and that wasn't an accessible bathtub as was requested.

Staff is accommodating and very friendly. Rooms are clean, quiet and well kept. Only place I like to stay while in Sulphur!

Drainage of water in bathroom could be improved

Housekeeping service was attempting to deliver towels to a room. We were not the room requesting towels. Not only did they come to the wrong room, they entered the room by using their key without knocking. If he had been 1 minute sooner he would have walked in while I was still in my under clothes

The breakfast was great. They offered diffrent breakfast options every morning. The hot foods were hot, and the colds were cold, and they had extended times. The breakfast hrs. were til 10am on some days. That's an extra bonus. Loved everything about it. There's nothing negative I could say about our stay or the hotel
