I have to say, I’ve been in a lot of hotels over the years for business. The Albion is one of the most beautiful, spacious, artful, and well located hotels in the area. I’m truly amazed by the quality of the lobby, both the bar restaurant and the lounge areas. It’s truly spectacular.

Great staff, cool space, excellent room!

Great Restaurant. Rooms were very small,no phone no closet coffee in the room was undrinkable ,only one bar of soap . I know the place is old they really should upgrade some of the rooms. If I'm paying over $200 for a room I don't care if George Washington slept in the room.Beautiful lobby but you can't sleep there!

Very quite and relaxing atmosphere, and very kind staff. the “continental” style breakfast is very underwhelming and the accompanying pastries looked low quality.

We had a very bad night and we booked the last room Sophie and Shirley were so kind. We were 6 hours on the runway then turned back zero luggage and I think we booked the last room because of the World Cup and all the airline cancellations The pillows were to thick and the bed small but a cool vibe

Hundred year old hotel with no modern facilities. You feel that you are in a refuge rather than a hotel.

I would stay here again. So lovely. A historic property. Bar is so lively! Really great space. Staff was amazing. When we got to the 4th floor, where our room was, the hallways spelled damp - like maybe mildew-y? Also, it was difficult to get in touch with the hotel. They apparently don't have phones? However, if you leave a message, someone will call you back right away. I just wish they communicated that process on their website. I got VERY frustrated trying to get in touch with a live person. Anyway, the room was fine and the rest of hotel was 5 stars!

Beautiful hotel, great and enjoyable staff and very good onsite restaurant. A telephone in the room would have been very helpful to call when the cleaning staff never showed up day after day.

Vanity in bathroom too small with open sides so things fall through the sides onto the floor. Towels scratchy and sometimes frayed. Room 412 in desperate need of repainting. Staff very courteous and helpful. Generally, I was disappointed in my room and likely will not stay there again.

Breakfast, though minimal, was a nice touch. The renovated downstairs is all very nice. The hotel is a distant afterthought to the restaurant and public areas downstairs. So much so that I assume they must be run independently. Downstairs the hotel looks like a 4 star accommodation, but at soon as you reach the elevator the place slides downward to a well-worn 2 star experience. The same obnoxious sign indicating that the lift is temporarily out of service (but the stairs work!) has been hanging on one of the hotel's two elevators for TWO YEARS. Clearly it isn't going to be repaired. They should just add a wall panel over it and admit that they only have one elevator at this point. That one remaining elevator is old and worn, just like the hallways. I've never had a particular issue with the rooms I've stayed in before, aside from the fact that they have all somehow always had a view of the dumpsters and delivery truck parking area. The rooms are serviceable, but not nice and the decor is a couple of generations outdated by hotel standards. This time, I got a room that had the toilet seat located underneath the toilet paper mounted to the wall in such a way that you have to actually wedge a leg between the two to use the facility. Meanwhile there was plenty of space on the other side for things to have been installed correctly, so it was just evidence of people not caring enough about guest comfort. While the restaurant and bar are nice, the menu is quite expensive for the area and astronomically overpriced for the quality of hotel they are attached to (which is not to say that this mediocre hotel is cheap). I stay at this hotel because of its proximity to my work. I would stay at any other hotel if there was one that's even half as conveniently located.

Great hotel! Wish I had more down time to spend there.

Very disappointing rooms for the price. Staff not friendly either. Hallway smells. The lobby and bar are beautiful but that is only plus for the hotel.

The staff while friendly had no idea where anything in town was. Yes we have phones now but it would be nice for concierge to be concierge. The lobby is beautiful, the restaurant was nice, but rooms are tiny, you hear everything, and someone was smoking on the 4th floor which really added to the experience.

Property was excellent, food was outstanding, staff were very helpful, but completely ineffective. I asked the front desk and overnight staff on separate occasions to update information on the account. After being assured the changes were made, I found out later that no changes were made. Although they said they would resolve a billing issue, the issue still persists. Most disturbingly, housekeeping walked completely into the room while I was naked laying in bed. No knock. No “housekeeping” announcement. Just a swipe of the card and walked straight in. Needless to say, we were both surprised to see each other. Although I’ve been staying here for well over 16 years now since the days of The Grand Summit, I’m not sure I’ll be back to stay for more than an excellent meal or cocktail.
