Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds

Great staff helped get us settled when our original hotel fell through! No refrigerator in the room.

The staff were helpful and attentive. The property and decor were dated but clean. It was a quiet place to stay.

Quiet spot and easy to get to from nys fair

First of all, let me say the customer service was excellent the young lady at the desk who checked me in was so nice and helpful I needed an early check in due to medication I needed to refrigerate. As soon as the keys were given to me, I went directly to the room. As we were walking, I could smell mildew in the air I mean really bad old mildew smell like old carpet that needed to be cleaned or was wet just wasn’t a pleasant smell then we get to the room and you had to push the door open like that’s not good. Go into the room and you’re hit with wet dirty carpet smell. Spots on an old recliner that was in there , but the bathroom was clean. If I could have found another affordable hotel that night. I would have checked out. It’s very run down and old and I just cannot get past the smell like it’s so bad you can always tell how the place is by the sign the Comfort Inn sign ummmm maybe 3 letters worked but looking into the hotel the dining area for the breakfast the windows are moldy and just yuck I will not stay here again. If it wasn’t for the top tier customer service i probably would’ve left

Clean, good room. Got a reservation when rooms in the area were very difficult to find. The hotel is old and in need of some repairs, but the price was right and there were no problems at all. If you want five star luxury, this is not your place. The breakfast is a nice plus! Serves it's purpose very well.

It is a very clean place to stay.

Ants in bedroom on night stand

Ants all over the tables and beds asked for help got no help $205 wasted I asked for my money back they said they could not do it

breakfast was quite extensive, room was cool and clean. Kudos to the housekeeping staff and lots of towels.

Super amazing breakfast & great staff. Elevator was a tad sketchy though haha, the doors did not open a couple times when we reached ground floor.

The staff was excellent, friendly, and very attentive.

When I was looking for a house keeper I couldn't find one and when I did they were on there phones. The breakfast was good for what it was. Very basic

This comfort inn is terrible. Dirty, old, broken. My door would not close because someone kicked it out before and broke a lock.

The outside could use some work and the inside was a little outdated but the staff was very nice and helpful. We had a very nice clean basic room. Perfect for what we needed.

Very clean considering how old it was

The staff was very friendly, and we really liked the breakfast. The only problem we had was that the TV was not working, just kept buffering. And there was no regular coffee for the coffee maker in the room, just decaf.

Upon arrival checked in to 2 rooms booked. Immediately had to get 1 room changed due to horrible smell from recent pipe burst and toilet running for over 20 mins. Kiara the nice employee changed the room no problem. Next room better but security bolt on door was missing. 2nd room key card was inactivated accidentally by me but I couldn’t get another card because the card machine wasn’t working. So I would need to go to front desk to ask them to let me in my room. Apparently new people checking in didn’t even get a card and this was how they gained access to their room. Courtney was a great help and very friendly. The vent in my room was also very loud like a car motor. We weren’t about to change rooms because most of the rooms were dirty and there was 0 housekeeping there so no one could clean the rooms. I was there from Friday to Sunday morning and I have never seen a hotel where literal garbage and trash from the rooms is left outside each room door all weekend! Needless to say I would never stay here again nor any Comfort Inn accommodations. The staff was the only saving grace because they were excellent.

Check out is 11am and they shut your water off at 1030am
