Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds

It was very sketchy walking in. Terrible condition. Dirty, rundown. Generally the rooms were okay. Lots of peeling paint and years of grime. But the staff was OUTSTANDING. This place is fine if you go in expecting it to be a low to mid range place

!

It's a rundown property. When we got to the hotel room. Human hair was still in the tub, as if it had not been properly cleaned. The paint on the bathroom wall was chipping. No housekeeping was available to assist us. We asked for extra pillows and blankets; the front desk lady said they didn't have extra linens available. We did not have a good experience staying here and will not come back.

Air conditioning unit is non functional. Front desk manager was very rude

Room was clean, warm and quiet. Affordable and close to our event!staff was very polite

Old property

Some windows are fogged and the shower had some mildew. Good value overall

The location was great for our visit to the NY State Fair coming from the Rochester area. Easy access to the hotel from routes 90 and 690. Coffee in the lobby at all hours (check). A free breakfast that had an assortment of both hot and cold items (check). The staff were extremely helpful (check check check!). The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet...and we were facing the highway. We will definitely stay here in future State Fair visits!

Professional and friendly

Staff were very nice but the building and the room are deteriorated and very dated. There were pieces of popcorn ceiling hanging in our room and then in the corridors there was debris on the floor from popcorn ceiling. This is on the fourth floor of the building after a rainy night. There was dust coming out of the lighting fixtures in cafeteria and falling down on our table/food during the breakfast. Second morning it was still not cleaned. TV remote could not work if more than 3 feet away from the TV. Bathroom was clean but everything is very old.

Very disappointing experience. I accidentally left my dress in the hotel room and returned shortly after checkout. I am 100% certain it was left there, but the staff simply told me that nothing was found. No one seemed willing to properly investigate or help me. My dress disappeared after I left the room, and the way the hotel handled this situation was extremely disappointing.

Great value for the money, the breakfast was good, location was awesome, staff very friendly Bed wasn't too comfortable

We arrived after the 3pm check-in time. Our room wasn’t ready so we had to come back after getting notified it was finally ready. We finally got our room and there was no fridge. Front desk told us the Mexicans that stayed there before us broke them all. We still paid full price. Rugs looked dirty and outdated. Would not recommend this hotel.

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Suited our needs for the night!!

Breakfast was great, but property is old, smells bed

Our only downfall was that the beds were not comfortable to us. Very firm

Price

It’s not clean enough

Cheap and cheerful and a decent breakfast. Staff were helpful. Needs a little updating but worked for our one night stay

It was clean, and the staff was nice. The area around the motel was a little shabby.
