La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Temple

Facility is being remodeled.. rooms are in excellent condition, facility is on its way back to being perfect. The night desk clerk was useless.. staying for business, and he wouldn't do anything about music coming from the pool so loud, that I might as well have had the radio on.. while I have no issues with the standard sounds of a pool, this is a hotel.. people are there for all different reasons, on all different schedules.. might do good for the management to remember that

Pool was covered and unable to be used. A lot of renovations being done and construction all over the place. Also rooms have a slight cigarette smell. Room was decently clean. Very nice breakfast buffet.

We intended to check in at La Quinta in Temple on for two nights; however, upon arrival, we could see that the hotel did not look like the photos. It appeared to be under construction or something. There was plastic tape on one of the pillars and a sheet or tarp hanging. There were people standing all around in the parking lot. There didn’t appear to be an elevator because there were doors on the outside. At that point, I decided to call Hotels.com to cancel my reservation because I was traveling with someone who had medical equipment that required sanitary spaces. The rep called La Quinta but no answer. She sent an email asking to cancel with no penalty. I told her I understood if I had to pay for one night because that is typical. I also expressed my concerns to the rep about the hotel when asked why I didn’t want to stay there. I tried calling the hotel as well and received no answer. The next day I received an email from hotels.com stating that the hotel replied and refused to cancel without penalty. I reached out to hotels.com rep, I was told it was because I didn’t cancel. However, we tried to do cancel and no one answered the phone. I understand charging for one night stay; however, the hotel charged me the full rate for both nights, which I was later told that is part of their policy for failure to check in or cancel. The reality is it should also be part of the policy for the hotel to at least someone “live up to their photos” they supply online.

The breakfast was a little disappointing but the stay was okay

Friendly Staff Great location

The pool was under renovation, as was the property. Our room was under a set of stairs and very dark. The room was small, especially the bathroom. Reception and breakfast areas were very nice.

The breakfast lady was very nice and kind!!! My kids enjoyed the pool, the only complaint I have is that the elevator did not work for us.

I did not book handicap rooms, but the property said it was handicapped rooms that were booked. Not at happy with those rooms as I was with the other rooms on our last stay.

Staff and the place was really clean

The rooms are dark and musty even the newly remodeled rooms you could see the mold leaking thought the paint in the shower the floor was consistently damp near the ac whole family started feeling ill after the first and went to another hotel for the rest of our trip

So noisy, 11pm still a lot of noise from pool , I can’t sleep

I want to compliment the staff maintaining the breakfast bar. Both mornings. It was serviced very well and kept clean the entire time I was eating there. Thank you

Location and nice beds Too many people are smoking around the hotel.
