Hilton Garden Inn Toledo Downtown

The parking situation is terrible. There should be an option to pay a flat rate at the parking garage so you are able to leave after check in without being charged each time. There are no amenities at this location that would justify paying for parking either. Not even a free breakfast. I would of gathered stayed farther away from my destination to be able to move freely without additional costs. Terrible. Will never stay at this location again.

The staff informed us at the time of arrival, there was a marathon on Sunday (the day we were to check out) and the city roads would be blocked from 5:30am until 12:00pm. If we needed to depart prior to noon we would need to do so prior to 5:30am. This was a surprise to us, had we known this prior to booking we would have chosen a different location or hotel. This certainly added stress to our stay. We had a 10 hour road trip planned for Sunday and could NOT wait until 12:00pm to leave. Unfortunately we were forced to leave much earlier than originally plan. Also, we stayed on the 10th floor. We cannot speak for the other floors, but the carpeting in the room (1011) had a foul odor. In our opinion the carpeting should be replaced with laminate.

The staff is great and the location is primo. Hotel rivals the best places I’ve stayed internationally still at midwestern prices.

Staff was excellent, comforting and overall loved the stay here. Close to bars and restaurants.

We arrived at the Hotel at 4:00 pm to check in, and they informed us they were overbooked and could not honor our reservation. They arranged accommodations at a Holiday Inn off the expressway 25 minutes away. They said there were several other guests who were also bummed. How does this happen? The Hotel Room rate at the Holiday Inn was $134 a night. I prepaid $353 for our reservation. Now they are refusing to provide a refund. We chose this Location because we could walk to the event we were attending. It was our 25th wedding anniversary, and we attend this event every year for our anniversary. We are celebrating and will be drinking and, of course, do not want to drive so we paid extra to stay downtown. We live an hour away and could drive home, but because we are celebrating, we made this reservation. We were over an hour late for our event. Our entire Night was ruined; I spent an hour online with Expedia. The Hilton did not treat us fairly or respectfully and did not provide comparable accommodations. They should be held accountable for negligence and provide a full refund!

Friendly staff clean place

Very clean and beautiful river view rooms. You have to pay for valet parking which is $17 daily as they have no parking.

We went to Toledo to see the MudHens play and there couldn’t have been a more convenient hotel. Clean and accommodating. We will definitely stay there again!

Very nice, clean room. Wish there was a pool/hot tub. Breakfast should be included for the high room price. Overall very nice hotel, would stay here again

The room was very nice and recently updated. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was attached to the hotel.

I was greeted promptly at the front desk upon arrival. The room, with a river room was clean and modern. I received a followup text after I arrived in my room to make sure everything was satisfactory. The paid parking valet service was great. Overall, an exceptional experience. I will be back!

Parking was bit of a pain but it didn't bring down the experience we had at the hotel.
