Island Inn Beach Resort

We absolutely loved the convenience of and to everything ❤️ The covered parking, the pool,the beach ⛱️ There was a 7-11 across the street a Publix basically across the street and restaurants close by including a Waffle House and the Ladies there were so friendly and full of laughter. My husband has a sense of humor about him and the lady we had played right along it made his morning!!! Our room wasn't the cleanest, but it wasn't bad. The beds were Amazing!!! Overall our trip was Absolutely Wonderful The price of renting the beach chairs and cover was a little much really think that should be included in the stay I wasn't the only guest that thought that, but we used our own which was fine Our room was nice beds were Amazing, but it could have been cleaner. Right off the walk in we noticed sand and shoe prints on the floor. However they had a broom in the room so I just used it. Crumbs on the little stove top and a few hairs on the shower walls and we had a 2 night stay and there were only 2 towels 2 wash clothes and 2 floor towels and one had to go by the front door for our shoes because there was no mat. The ad for the room said it offered beach towels and such, but there was only 2 beach umbrellas, but we just used our own. The office staff we really only had little interaction with they weren't very personable. During check in I was getting frustrated because the lady at the desk was training someone and apparently couldn't even find my reservation with my reservation numbers given by Booking.com and driver's license she kept saying that doesn't help me. She kept asking what room # I told her it didn't give one. I take pictures of everything for my protection when purchasing online and in this case had to use my husband's phone for that because it wouldn't allow screen shot. Showed her using his phone with each picture and got checked in. Really just minimal things.

Nice pool and bar. Excellent beach front. Free parking. Our room was extremely humid. At night the floors were wet and Our clothes were damp. To small and a dirty coffee pot. The paper bags of food were damp. Room smelled musty and damp. Staff brought dehumidifier and it didn't work. Very disappointed.

Location Our unit was pretty dated and in need of some maintenance.

Beautiful ocean view. Nice area. Minimal smoke smell from balcony. Very friendly staff. The air conditioner was leaking water.

The Gulf front view from my balcony. The pool was very clean but small. The beds were very uncomfortable. The headboards were not even attached to the bed and just laid up against the wall. The bedframes were $99 metal frames that slid every time you sat/laid on the bed. It has been years since I slept on a mattress with springs that poked me! They should probably take the word "Resort" out of the name because this is not what I consider a resort by any means. The tub was rusted all around it. No amenities. I realize this property was affected by the hurricanes, but I think they rushed a bit with the renovation or took the cheap way out. On the upside, the beach and view were beautiful!!

The property was clean and well maintained. The room was well stocked. Everything worked properly. Very clean.

The room decor has been updated since the photos on this site were taken. It is much prettier inside now. The only thing I had an issue with was that my friend and I added one night on each end of the original stay. It would have been nice to have gotten a little break on the price of the two extra nights.
