Best Western Plus Franklin Square Inn Troy/Albany

The hotel itself is right next to the Hudson River which is great to watch. The rooms themselves are solid and comfortable. The rooms also come with an AC which I truly just loved adjusting as it was hot when I was there. The breakfast was pretty good and left me quite satisfied. Overall, its a great hotel and is worth checking out. was playing with quite sat. It’s a great hotel.

Room and hallways had terrible odor.

The room was clean and the shower was very satisfying. Breakfast was decent and the location is great. Bed was horribly squeaky and uncomfortable. They put us in a room that connects to the room next door - and the adjoining room door is a single thin door with a 2 inch gap at the floor. So we could hear the other room clearly and was woken up before 5am because of that. I was very surprised and disappointed that a hotel would design adjoining rooms with so little sound barrier between them - and then put people in both rooms when the hotel had plenty of space.

Honestly not much. It was one of the worst hotels I have stayed at. First of all the customer service when calling the day before arrival was rude. Upon arrival the woman the front desk was nice enough, but the room smelt like wet dog, and musty. The beds were old and springs were loose. Bedding smelled. No clock/. alarm. And limited parking in lot, had to street park multiple times. I thought it was poor business that the hotel did not ask for your lisc. plate number to ensure only guests park in lot. Overall horrible experience.

Very small breakfast. Cereal, yogurt, and toast. I unfortunately am on a no carb diet so no breakfast for me. Would have been nice to have at least boiled eggs. I also recommend taking a video of the room before you unpack and when you leave, and don’t forget to count the towels!

We very much liked the breakfast area. Spacious with a high ceiling and a fireplace gave it very different feeling compared to others.

The Staff was very friendly, from simple greetings to help with our bicycles. The lobby and breakfast area was spacious and clean. The breakfast buffet was well stocked and tasty.

Stay two nights for wedding. Highly recommend this hotel.
