Best Western Plus Truckee-Tahoe Hotel

This is the nicest best western I have ever stayed at.

I liked the kitchen staff, she was very hospitable and could teach the front desk staff a few things.

great breakfast, clean room. But paying for parking is rediculas

A bit pricey and has I seen earlier that they charge a nightly parking fee, I would’ve stayed elsewhere.

Only one elevator at complete end of corridor. Better directions inside hotel to rooms. Should be signs on different side of walls where eyes meet- ie stairways & exit doors

Staff at hotel desk were very friendly and professional. Room was clean and fairly quiet.

Clean hotel, nice staff, good breakfast for a BW, but the highlight was the hot tub, it was pretty big! Location is good I would say, but not “in town” Everything is within a bike ride away.

Charging $15 per night to park in a large surface lot at a property that isn’t accessible by public transportation feels like an unnecessary cash grab. Guests have no practical alternative, making the fee especially frustrating. Even the front desk acknowledged that many customers complain but said it’s a corporate policy they can’t change. Stop nickel-and-diming your guests and include parking in the room rate—it would go a long way toward improving the overall experience.

Breakfast was excellent

Good price. Great breakfast. This hotel has been perfect for us the last few times we’ve stayed.

I don't like being charged fees. Just give me the price. Period. They charge a $15 parking fee. There's no reason for a parking fee. Just add it to the price. Generally places that charge parking, internet fees, entertainment fees....I avoid. Just don't like. It is listed in the details on Expedia, so I should have read it.

Enjoyed our stay. Lots to do in the area. Hotel very clean, staff very pleasant and breakfast was delicious.

Location, pool and sauna, breakfast was good Accidentally put change in a machine that was out of order and was not able to get my change back. Tried to get more change to do laundry and they were out of quarters.

great location, comfy room, good breakfast, good value wifi SUCKED! toilet was running the entire time. TV reception was jntermittent. needs bike storage.

Breakfast was good. Hot food. Friendly staff. Really overpriced for an average hotel. They charge an additional $15 per night for parking and it's in the middle of nowhere, a long way from central Truckee. I forgot my toiletries and there's a big sign saying that they have complimentary toiletries at the front desk. First of all, there was no one at the front desk. I came back an hour later and the guy managed to find a single disposable toothbrush and sachet of toothpaste after calling his manager. I also had the opportunity to buy a razor. I have never forgotten my toiletries before and don't necessarily expect the hotel to cover for me but why put a sign up advertising complimentary toiletries for idiots like me if you don't intend to honor it? He seemed like a nice guy but the whole operation has seen better times. Just a weird vibe. You could do far better for $175.

We didn't go into the pool but used the Hot Tub almost every day - big and hot! There are microwaves in every room, but curiously, not the breakfast room. I found the plumbing to be on the loud side - you could hear the shower from other rooms, but that's only one minor consideration. The beds were tall, but comfortable. We had an accessible bathroom which was very well appointed...lots of grab bars. Well done! We will definitely be back!

This hotel was literally five minutes from downtown. Great hot tub, full breakfast and friendly staff, you couldn’t ask for more!!
