Staff was nice but they shut down the check in office at 10 and you cant get a hold of anyone after that. We needed another blanket but it was past 10 so we were out of luck. Our phone and microwave were broken and the room smelled musty/mold. The hotels.com website states that the truckee river is a one minute walk which is incorrect.

Manager was very helpful. Great location.

There was plenty of parking. There was no elevator, which is disclosed on the inn’s website. The grout between the bathroom tile looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed in years. The place appeared to be minimally maintained and, to me, over-priced but maybe that’s what the market will bear in Truckee.

Nice staff, room was clean. Nothing fancy but an absolute great value. Breakfast provided. Would stay again for sure.

location and amenities were what I needed. Breakfast was nothing special but appreciated. bed was comfy. no bad traffic noise given the proximity to I-80 which was a relief Room was handicapped equipped tho I didnt ask for that, most of the furnishings were newer and decent except an oddly placed unnecessary old ("rutsic") table and chair. carpet was seriously questionable. stain on the bedspread. An extension cord was draped across the AC unit and the wall light was plugged into it (definitely not to safety code). The bathroom light was so dim I could barley see to get ready for a party. Check in staff person was really ill suited to the job. I asked where to park he said a side door was available off the lot and it might be better to use it if I parked there .. (never mind my room was literally off the lobby; he could have pointed to it was so close- but he didn't.) SO i parked there then the side door wouldn't open so I had to lug my luggage around to the front any way. I alerted him to the door issue and he says " Oh yeah that door is messed up (?!)' later I thought I may have dropped my coat when I came in and asked if a coat was turned in to "lost and found" and he acted like he couldn't understand the word coat then says " a coat? what about it?" rude. I'd have spoken to the morning person about him but she was so pleasant I thought I'd not bother her with it. The building is older and I guess there is just so much you can do with that, but it left me curious if the other rooms are the same condition. that sort of wear and tear can be forgiven but not the bad manners. Ive worked the front desk.. just dont do it if you cant be pleasant. It was just one night and I wasn't hanging around there - but he definitely left me with a bad vibe. its not like it was a bargain at over $200.

Location wasn’t very close to downtown. The room very old and needing to be updated . Facility is clean. Room didn’t have a closet .

The nice part was the amount of towels they provided in the bathroom. The lobby was clean and the outside was clean of trash and the property was kept up well. There was mold growing in the bathroom on the ceiling, it looked like they tried to cover it up with paint and then it started growing through the paint. The shower/bath tub didn't drain well and when trying to take a shower the water was pooling up inside the tub and I was standing in dirty water past my ankles. There was a fire sprinkler in my room that was exposing the piping attaching to the sprinkler that was leaking. The floors had stains all over the carpet. The bathroom floor was sticky. There was hair in my bedding still like someone had a dog in the room and was sleeping on the bed and then they didn't change the sheets on my bed. The fridge in my room wouldn't close properly and so my cold items wouldn't stay cold and the cabinet door that hides the fridge doesn't stay closed and so when you would walk by it, you would have to close the door so you didn't hit your shin on the door. I also had a no smoking room, it smelt like an ash tray and wet dog in my room. When I started the AC in my room the smoke smell would increase. There was a light switch or electrical outlet that looked like it got removed and they tried to cover it up. When I turned on the light next to the bed, you could hear a humming sound. Not sure if that's code or not.

Coffee machine broken Dirty carpet at stairs Ugly dicor
-
Convenient place for the general Truckee area! Nice cute and clean, but they should remove the pool photos as they no longer have a pool
-
Price is cheaper than anything else No help to stash backpacks, no transportation anywhere. Just was dead beat and the kid put us on the 3 floor. No elevators! Breakfast is ok but far far far from great.
-
The rooms are basic. Parking is free. Breakfast is as advertised. We did not eat anything offered. No coffee in rooms. Acceptable lodging passing thru.

Inn at Truckee is not a luxury hotel but it’s perfectly acceptable for a couple of nights. Staff is friendly, breakfast is pre-made and individually wrapped items to microwave, room was quiet, and beds comfortable. I’d stay here again.

Noisy. Paper thin walls. Woukd not stay again
-
Outdated and overpriced. This hotel needs a major revamp. Husband said he will not come back.
-
Clean room Freeway noise, thin walls. Breakfast area had dirty counter. Staff unfriendly, we didn’t feel welcome
-
No elevator for 3 story property. All photos make it look bigger and better than it is. Needs upgrades or needs a serious price reduction.
-
Yes but the shower was dangerous as there was no nonslip mat. Also we had to ask to have the room made up. We had to ask for fresh towels.

Bring a pillow and don’t count on much for the free breakfast. Stayed here quite a few times and it is always a pleasant stay. Just a basic clean little motel. The only issue I had was the pillows were rock hard and made my sleeping very uncomfortable. There is a free breakfast but it is very basic and consisted of microwave breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Not bad but just very basic.

No frills no fuss. Good location. Easy, simple breakfast stuff. Near plenty of restaurants and stores. Easy parking and access
