DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta - Northlake

I am not satisfied

I usually choose Hilton properties because the brand has earned my trust, and I'm happy to pay a little more for a consistently comfortable experience. Unfortunately, this property missed the mark. It felt dated and didn't have the clean, well-maintained feel I've come to expect from Hilton. If I hadn't seen the Hilton name on the building, I would have assumed it was a much more budget-oriented hotel. That said, the staff was exceptional. While the property itself wasn't anything luxurious, the team provided service that absolutely was. Their professionalism, friendliness, and willingness to help were the highlight of our stay.

I liked the customer service. Cynthia at the front desk was excellent. The only problem was the toilet would not stop running, we reported it and they said it was fixed but it wasn’t. Also, the air condition being right by the bed was uncomfortable for the person sleeping on that side.

The only issue we had was there was a vent in our shower that was not screwed in place in room 214. It wasn’t a huge issue but I could imagine it would hurt if it fell on someone. Other than that one small maintenance issue, everything was great. Clean room, comfy beds, quiet atmosphere, large rooms. The cookies were warm and delicious when we checked in. Hot showers and clean bathrooms. Overall, I’d stay there again for sure.

The king bedroom with a shower only, no tub is always my husband & I preference. We booked that & that’s exactly what we got. The staff at the front desk (especially Ms. Cynthia) & at breakfast were very friendly, helpful and attentive. Our room was clean, the bathroom was also clean (although I always take our own bed linen & my own towels). It was quiet, peaceful and comfortable.

It was nice

The front desk staff was very welcoming . Charnice gave some excellent food options at the in house restaurant (the duck egg rolls -yum) . The bartender was a little unattentive but overall a fantastic experience for a solo traveler.

Perfect stay!

She was professional, friendly, and charming, setting the tone for a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautifully decorated and having a restaurant and bar on-site was a great convenience. I'm very particular about cleanliness and always bring my own cleaning supplies, but my room exceeded my expectations. And of course, I can't forget the warm, signature DoubleTree cookies—they're absolutely delicious! Be warned, they're addictive. This will definitely be my hotel of choice every time I visit Atlanta. Highly recommended!

Clean room

I liked the location. The person at the front desk was on the phone and took forever to acknowledge my guest, and with no apologies. I also didn't like the $16 breakfast fee, especially when so many hotels offfer some sort of free breakfast. More importantly, the breakfast wasn't worth a fee at all. Also my guest was not offered the cookie upon check in, and they were not available upon check out.
