Homewood Suites by Hilton Tucson/St. Philip's Plaza Univ

Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Free breakfast was delicious,hot and relaxing. Maid service was very nice and prompt to provide the items I needed. Tv remote was hard to navigate first night there . They did upgrade TV remote/services(part of renovation )while I was out but still hard a hard time with control. Maybe provide a quick guide to remote. Ended up watching Netflix and partially my phone (first night). Rest of stay was relaxing and staff was ready to help and kind. Reason I continue to book here.

Broken floor tiles in the bathroom. Property under renovation construction which I understand. There was no water available in the lobby but there was a lovely attendant at the desk who got us ice water from the kitchen

The hotel was great and breakfast was amazing for a free hotel breakfast. The hotel is doing renovations so we had to walk around that but overall great stay!

The hotel is under renovation, so it was dusty and noisy at times, but not during sleep hours. There was a bug in the bed when we first arrived, and we were told it was probably because of the recent rain. There were no other rooms available, so we had to stay in our original room, in which we did a search and didn’t find any others like it. The manager did end up taking care of us for the inconvenience, and she was very friendly and kind. However, the interaction with another front desk worker was less than desirable. She was very short with us when asking about the laundry facilities, and for a customer facing role, she could’ve been more patient. The hotel itself was located in a great little shopping/dining area, so we were able to walk to a coffee shop and restaurants. There was also a farmer’s market over the weekend in the parking lot, which offered some local artisans. Overall, I would give this hotel 3.5 stars. It would’ve been higher if it had not been for the bug and the front desk lady with the attitude.

The location is great. The rooms are comfortable. I love the little weekend market.

Clean room, great breakfast, nice staff, parking was easy

We arrived at 3:36 pm, check-in was not available until 3. The room was not ready. There were only two rooms in the hotel left to clean. The entire second floor and a lot of the first floor were being renovated. We were later placed in room 325, with a dismal view of the construction pods and dumpsters. I have pictures. I contacted Expedia to find out if there was a difference in price between what I paid for and the room we received. The front desk said there would be no accommodation for failing to provide what was booked, and offered us two bottles of water for our trouble. The suite was clean. The kitchen had all the necessities. The smell of formaldehyde from the freshly laid carpet made my eyes water, and the door closer was so stiff I couldn’t open our door and my husband had to put all his weight into the effort to force it open. If there were an emergency, we would have a hard time getting out of our room. The staff on the second and third days were friendly and professional. No restaurant, bar, but both were available vis the shared parking area. Honestly, I expected more from a Hilton property.

Exceptional

I stayed here for 5 nights while moving my daughter into her dorm room. The staff was very friendly and let us send packages to the hotel a couple weeks before our stay which was very helpful. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast every morning was very good. The only downfall was that the gym was being renovated so I couldn’t get my workouts in although they did offer day passes to an area gym. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything in the room was clean and new remodeled. Nice! Breakfast included was better than even expected! Very nice. The plaza area is fun to walk around. Easy place to stay for Tucson and u of a.

This is our go to place when we are visiting our Wildcats. We love the plaza with 3 great restaurant options. We got back after a long college move-in day ready to walk to dinner and relax with a glass of wine. Instead, we circled the parking lot with 50 other cars for 20 minutes before giving up. There was a huge car show and tons of craft booths. It was chaotic and there was nowhere to park anywhere nearby for hotel guests .

Great place to stay. The place has great facilities and the continental break was amazing as well Nothing to say the place was perfect!!!
