Homewood Suites by Hilton Tucson/St. Philip's Plaza Univ

Everything in the room was clean and new remodeled. Nice! Breakfast included was better than even expected! Very nice. The plaza area is fun to walk around. Easy place to stay for Tucson and u of a.

This is our go to place when we are visiting our Wildcats. We love the plaza with 3 great restaurant options. We got back after a long college move-in day ready to walk to dinner and relax with a glass of wine. Instead, we circled the parking lot with 50 other cars for 20 minutes before giving up. There was a huge car show and tons of craft booths. It was chaotic and there was nowhere to park anywhere nearby for hotel guests .

Just what you would expect.

Breakfast was good and our room was good plenty of room and it was a good price and an excellent location for everything that we did. And the bbq was really good also for the Fourth of July. Maybe the breakfast could have two waffle makers and some bacon or ham instead of sausage. Our living room area got a little hot maybe a fan would help circulate the air like the bedroom that has a fan.

The carpet was so dirty and it felt sticky. There was also a 2" cockroach on the wall that we had to kill. When I confronted the front desk on the fourth day of our stay - they apologized and said they didn't have enough help to take care of our room. They offered some snacks from the store - but all we wanted was our room cleaned up. This was a terrible place to stay and it is inexcusable for a Hilton property. Expedia shouldn't even offer this as a hotel option to stay in Tucson.

Amazing place. Great breakfast. Wonderful staff. Gave me lake checkout and I will come back again and again, what an economical find for such a nice area and to have a full kitchen to boot! Five stars!

If you book through Expedia you are not guaranteed the room you booked and paid for, if they have to downgrade your room, you will not get a difference in pricing. The beds were comfortable, the couches were both stained and dirty. The pillows are fluffy but flat as soon as you lay on them. For the price I wouldn’t stay again. My opinion tho, it’s not bad but not good for the price . Staff were the best part about my experience. Very respectful and kind.
