Stay was great, amazing staff!

My family and I have stayed at the Westward many times throughout the years. We have always enjoyed the property. Recently, things have changed. The dinning area is the most obvious change. Eating in the dinning room or on the outdoor patio was a luxury. To get dressed up and have a great meal with your family was a good memory.

This was a staycation for us as residents of Tucson. We wanted to check this resort, and see how it is. Mostly all good: comfy bed, nice room decor, gorgeous grounds, easy auto-checkout. Only a few dislikes: of course the prices are so high (but lately that's nothing new) at the restaurant, the hot water took quite a while to get to the room when it was turned on, and the railings along the pathways are very handy - especially if you're older and a bit unsteady - yet the black color makes them hot to touch when it's hot and sunny outside.

Our staycation here was very enjoyable. We had a really nice room, comfy bed and enjoyed the garden pool. Nice property with great views of the city. Staff was friendly as well. Restaurant was nice, had amazing views but service was very slow.

The star gazer option was well worth it. The private patio faced the mountains across a desert area and dry creek. And we used the private hot tub every day. I also enjoyed hiking and using the fitness center.

The main pool area was filthy, with garbage everywhere and no enforcement of basic pool rules. People brought their own coolers and were even swimming in basketball shorts and socks. The only bright spot was the bartenders, who were friendly and excellent. The atmosphere reminded me of the "Caddy Day" scene from Caddyshack. We were so disappointed that we left early and will never return.

Good than you

My family enjoyed the pool and the staff was kind at check in. There was a fridge and coffee maker in the room. My only thing I would have like is having a microwave in the room especially having a picky eater it would have helped

Key worked for another room door and lady yelled and me and my kids like we just came in purposely
-
Room had a nail cutting, dead spider, dead bugs and a lizard. We asked the property to come clean in the morning & they agreed, however, they never came to clean. We reminded them the room needed to be cleaned & still nothing. The phones weren't working & the TV cannot stream.

A perfect off-season weekend get away. Not crowded, great fitness center, jacuzzi all to ourselves a few steps from our casita. Beautiful huge room and bath. Excellent.
-
The room was very clean and the staff was super helpful. Breakfast and bar were nice with kind staff and good food/drinks. My only issue is that the room we got had no microwave or fridge.
