Roadrunner Lodge

Our Route 66 adventure was enhanced by our stay at the Roadrunner. A lot of thought was put into the decor. Loved the touch of the old radio playing nostalgic music and ads as we entered our room.

When we walked into our room a radio was playing ads from the early 50s and 60s. Enjoyed listening to them so much we never turned on the TV!! Also, the bed had the old Magic Fingers attachment where for 25 cents you got 15 minutes of massage. I remembered this from when I was a kid! The Route 66 decor and in-room treats were very much appreciated. Staff were very friendly and helpful. This is another must stay on historic Route 66! Also, recommend eating dinner at Las Chaparritas on Main Street.

The woman at the front desk was very nice and gave us a great dinner recommendation. They also had free coffee and herbal tea available. The room was clean and had a retro look and feel.

Low on expected amenities, unduly high in price.

The vintage MCM vibes were great. Retro radio playing vintage tunes upon arrival in the room was awesome. Little table & chairs outside the room was a nice touch.

The time period capture of 60s was well done, the radio playing older music from the 60s took me back in time when I was growing up listening to the same music. It was great.

Very nicely done Route 66 hotel with a mid century vibe. Felt like travel with my family when I was a kid in the 60’s. Comfortable bed. No coffee in the room although that was true in the 60’s too.

I love the old Motels made new again. Especially when done to the quality of this. Can't think of anything.

Oh - the shower curtain- cutest thing ever! Everything was very clean, roomy and comfortable, the staff was lovely, check-in smooth and easy, being able to park right at the room was a forgotten luxury-haven’t unloaded the car with such ease in a very long time :) A fridge/microwave/kettle in the room would have been very nice…maybe re-imagine the sixties?

Dave was super cool. He talked with us and showed us the items on display in the lobby. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed the vintage feel and walking in with old commercials and music on a radio. The custom art on the toiletries was a small touch that made me smile. The Roadrunner was nicer than most name branded modern hotels I've stayed in. The small attention to detail and friendliness goes a long way making an overnight pleasurable. The best night of sleep on my whole trip was here. There was a little traffic noise that was less the later it got into the evening. It wasn't bad enough to use earplugs or earphones to sleep.
