Extended Stay America Suites Olympia Tumwater

Definitely will be going back. Staff was kind and room and premises clean. The only reason I gave a 4 was due to a person who said they were checking in by the front desk. This person had a pitbull off its leash and then got extremely agitated with me when i asked him if he could put the dog on a leash. So while I felt safe for most of the time there, the last few minutes could have gone bad very quickly. I kept myself calm and quickly gave the employee my pass key to the room and left. Thinking someone should be at the desk when the coffee and breakfast items are out.

Poor quality bed and bedding. Vinyl floors were sticky with difficult stains still present. Quality of bathroom fixtures and kitchen was bottom of the line. The poor quality fixtures were everywhere.

Room was clean but NOTHING in the cupboards, not even a disposable cup !

Also, while there were signs clearly indicating no smoking within 25 feet of an entrance, there were people smoking just outside of the doors most times that we entered or exited the property. There doesn't seem to be enough staff to enforce the rules or an interest on the part of the property owner to enforce this either.

Conveniently located to free way and grocery stores. Clean and well-maintained. Comfortable bed.

Quiet location; would have been better but the room wasn’t clean when we checked in. Crumbs on the floor & chair, something else on the floor that my dog wanted to lick, the bathtub had hair and a ring of what appeared to be left from someone’s bath in it, and one of the pillowcases had splashes of something on it; wasn’t clear if the sheets had been changed. Spoke to the front desk about it and were told it would be cleaned by the time we were back from dinner. When we returned the only thing different was the pillowcase. Thankfully we had our sleeping bag and our own pillows with us. The staff was friendly.

Clean and comfortable. Always out of coffee pots. Was by an exit door and every time someone came in, I thought someone was coming in my room.

No kitchen items available. Counters were sticky. Other people‘s hair on the bathroom counter.

At check-in time, I was given a key to a room that was not ready (trash in hall, shoes in room, towels on floor, things on counter, and bed not made) and looked like someone was still there. I hauled all my luggage back downstairs to the desk and got a room with a smaller bed than i booked. The next morning, the door keys stopped working and we were locked out of our room hours prior to check out time. Staff was nice, but would not recommend.

Rooms have been renovated as well as the lobby! Very bright and cheerful! Staff is great!

Everything was fine upon arrival; the service was professional and friendly. I only had one minor issue: the key cards don't work very well. And I think instead of saying "free breakfast," they should say "free coffee."

Would recommend staying on top floor. Very loud. We were on second floor and it sounded like the person above us was running around all night long. Hard to sleep if you are seeking a quiet stay. Location is convenient and right off the freeway. Also had Jack in the Box and 711 within walking distance. You are able to request more supplies for kitchen, however very limited. And no sponge and only provided two little packets of dish soap. Would suggest bringing your own. Unusual situation regarding bath towels, required to trade used towels to get fresh bath towels. Even with multiple people staying multiple nights. Unsure if we would stay again.

The room "appeared" clean at first...then we started to notice little things like a dirty wash cloth, then when we went to the bed and pulled back the covers, there was hair, crumbs, mud, and blood looking spots underneath. The manager was kind enough to comp our room but I just don't understand how this happened. We used to love extended stays.

The staff seemed courteous and helpful when I got there, after 10 pm then when I asked for late checkout they have me an extra half hour to get out to due to my disability. Anyway I found that I had a wash off of there and I was trying to return it and they refused to answer my phone call called him like five times in a row but anyways I'm trying to return their washcloth and so I'm going to take it up there to them so they have it all right thank you I guess you know my issue was

Breakfast was lacking. I’m not American, so that could be it. But when I read “breakfast available” and I pay $20 more for a breakfast booking - I expect actual breakfast. Not coffee and a muffin. Breakfast. Not a good selection, and it was a small counter right next to the entrance/exit opposite the check-in counter.

I love the kitchen in the rooms and the re model. Was a little inconvenient with rooms moving and parking. I don't like that the price has raised so high it's become unaffordable at times I just sleep in my car instead. Inflation is out of control and as often as we rent rooms I feel like we are being overcharged we the customer (regulars) pay into the upgrades Everytime we stay here. Also breakfast in the bare minimal and always running out of instant food it's not even hot and for the price please do better.

Freeway entry and exit. Common courtesy and decency to start. Property workers and management Tara and Ted stealing/refusing to give me all my property. Locked in my own room. Tara the manager said I was not allowed to stay over again cuz my payment was later than it should have been mind you checking was at 3:00pm and I went in there at 7:00pm. I had things to do that day with a reservation after staying 3 nights. There was construction renovating at 7:00 a.m. every morning. They didn't tell me that when I checked in. There's blood spatter on the bathroom wall when I came in along with Gunk on the floor like little I don't know if it was sticky gummy something substance that I told management about it. Tara and another gal the night previously. So now I have to call and make a police report against the property manager for withholding my property just a bunch of BS that I didn't want to have to deal with. Now this is an extended stay there are tweakers all over. This property is so used to dealing with people like that that they think that they can just run over people and take things from people or withheld people's property and they can just get away with it until the next day and this and that like they just can do what they want and that's not right that's not how it works and no matter what state no matter like we all have laws we have rights that's not okay and yes I'm mixed so it's like it's on top of injury cuz now I do feel discriminated against. Because I am going to see what kind of legal action I can take against the property and probably management both the actual hotel chain and their management on two different bases because one is discrimination too is professionalism and ethics because I got no explanation other than it was late my payment was late like who doesn't have a payment late on a hotel how do you how do you like making payment when you're not coming in till later on that evening it doesn't make sense.

Great size room, comfy bed and pillows,would definitely stay again Shame about the refurbishment work going on during our stay, it did spoil our stay somewhat ,but no other complaints
