Hotel Indigo Tuscaloosa Downtown by IHG

It was a great location, though it was a little loud because of the traffic. Thank you for honoring the Government/Military Rate.

Great location, helpful staff, clean room and convenient parking.

Although the staff was great and location very cool I will not stay there again as their rooms are very “moldy/old” smelling. I don’t have allergies but those who do would never be able to stay in those rooms. I had a difficult night sleeping because of the smell and whatever they use to spray in the rooms to make them smell good was very sweet smelling and not appealing. Our bathroom barn door was very difficult to open and close also. The toilets and sinks had very low water pressure but the shower was good so that was a plus!

Hotel was very nice. Went for a concert at the amphitheater and it is a very short walk from the hotel. Hotel also had security checking parking passes so those not staying at the hotel couldn’t park (which also meant those of us staying actually had parking). Roof top restaurant was great, food and drinks were delicious. Will definitely stay again.

The staff were nice enough. Our room was very clean. But our first night our air conditioner rattled and kept me up all night. The next morning we let them know about it, they had someone come look at it after we left. When we arrived back our room was 78 degrees and they had it set on 67. We told them the air was now quiet but it wasn’t working. The maintenance man came back and he changed out the entire AC unit and we left again. When we got back around 10:30 that night it was still 78 degrees and we told them so they switched our rooms. They were very nice to switch our rooms but didn’t offer anything for all the inconvenience and trouble. It’s not a cheap hotel so I was pretty underwhelmed with service.

The location is just perfect for the Mercedes Benz Amphitheater the river walk and to walk to the historic downtown area. You can walk easily to every where. Plenty of parking and a very cool roof top bar area. On the hotel it is very sharp, comfortable, clean and fresh. Staff is helpful and food is good for breakfast and dinner. Not great but good. I highly recommend if attending a concert ot just visiting Tuscaloosa. Book online and save some money as rates are cheaper on line than direct through the hotel. Loved it and would stay there again. Only small trifle was the rooftop bar doesn't open until 5. Please open a bit earlier yall.

Front desk associate absolutely awesome. A rare gem to be valued and kept at all cost. Coming from a business man for 35 yrs of travel. The hotel chain always comes through but the front desk made this trip for my family excellent. Thank you

Wonderful

Terrible customer service. We had a great experience until I accidentally left something in the room. After a week, I had a friend who lives there pick it up and send it to me. The level of ignorance and incompetence did not leave me with any faith that they could use the mail correctly. I was genuinely afraid if left in their hands that I may never see my items again. Also, they feel it appropriate to operate without a manager for 5 days. Seems absurd. Either that or they lied to me. Neither of which is surprising.
