La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Tyler

Clean room but found a few live bugs running around. Unusual for their hotel. Needs basic improvements, like lifting toilets or new High boy style, old ones are too low, chips in tub and toilet, wood doors chipped. Simple improvements. Beds were great, tv, frig, micro in room all worked and updated. Nicely painted and good laminate flooring. Shower could use a safety rubber mat or grab bar for elderly.

I will say the air conditioner was awesome and it was so hot outside that was nice. The staff was nice.

We stayed at this hotel back in November of 2022 and it’s safe to say this hotel has gotten even worse. We originally booked a non-smoking room on the first floor. And when we arrived, we were told we got a non-smoking room, but it was on the second floor. Even though I expressed that due to accessibility reasons of first floor room was necessary. The first room reeked of cigarettes. We tried calling the front desk to ask if there was another room, but nobody was answering the phone. So we drove up to the front desk. We were met with a Mail employee and I explained to him that we need a new room. He said he could offer us a room, but it would only have one bed which we were fine with that. Then mid conversation of him helping me, some woman comes up and is complaining about another front desk, staff, and asking if he can just be the only one to accept her money. The male employee stopped helping me and began flirting with the guest even going as far as telling her that he accepts tips via Cash App and he gets off at 10. She left and then he resumed our interaction as if nothing happened. It was beyond wild. The room itself? Absolutely disgusting. There was a cockroach leg on the floor in the bathroom. No clue where the carcass went. There were dead spiders in the corners above the window. The air-conditioning unit was absolutely caked in dust and stunk mildewy. The towels were stained. The bathroom was a travesty. It was 1030 at night or we would have left. Do not stay here.

My stay was very pleasant. I would consider this motel again should the opportunity arise.

TV was broken sink wouldn't drain no washing machine available and no ice on the property and no help resolving anything at best I got a shoulder shrug.

The pool was closed but otherwise everything was satisfactory.

The room was out dated and it had a roach problem. The moment I entered I saw roaches as I closed the door. I had no choice staying there because I had a day surgery and I didn’t have time to find another room. The toilet wouldn’t flush. I had to pour water in it just to get it to flush. I would not recommend this place at all. I was worried about bed bugs all night. I told the manager at checkout and he says we don’t have any of those issues. I told him go back there and look for yourself. He just had this bewildered look on his face. I would not stay in this dump ever again and I don’t complain on these apps. Stay away from this establishment.

It was never my intention to book room in Tyler. I typed in Jacksonville which is near Tyler and paid. Confirmation said Tyler and my attempt to cancel fell on deaf ears. Had to pay for another room in Jacksonville. I feel cheated

Room was dirty, sink and toilet were clogged, privates hair all over the bathroom, bugs inside. Paid extra for the fridge and it didn’t work, door didn’t have a good lock on it and made me feel unsafe since it is an outdoor entrance. There were people standing outside the door and made me feel unsafe. Saw all of this and went to the desk to say I’m not staying there because of the conditions.
