Fairfield Inn & Suites Des Moines Urbandale

Ice machine not working. The door frame to my room showed light from the hallway. In some respects, I would call that a fire hazard as smoke would fill the room quickly

We were greeted on checking in by Colleen. She immediately made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was great. Always fresh and the dining room was very clean. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The location was perfect for where we needed to be. It rained a lot while we were there.

nice room

Property was very clean and the staff was super friendly! Would stay here again for sure!

Everything was great except the breakfast. No cups for the water/juice. The “juices” were pure water with a hint of concentrate. Very few choices for food.

Serve bacon with breakfast

I was extremely happy with my stay. The staff was very helpful and easy to work with. My room was very quiet and clean. Would definitely stay there again.

Good stay ......OK.....!!!@@@@@

We got there and got checked in and we were given the 4th floor which was wonderful because I hate having people above us. After we checked in and brought out stuff in, in our sports wagon to minimize the number of trips we were told the Elevator did not work. So we had to lug all of our stuff up 4 flights of stairs. I asked why they did not tell us before check in and they said all we got was a sorry and a shrug of the workers shoulders. Then we got into our room and the sheets were clean, the room was clean but the bathroom door did not shut. It was too big for the frame which was strange. When we went to go for dinner the main door to the room had to be pulled very hard to shut it. I feel that is a safety issue as when you walk in the room the door should latch. It did not. I was very sad as a one night stay was very expensive and we booked 2 rooms. No offer of compensation, no apologies aside from the elevator issue, they honestly did not seem to care.

The room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok. Coffee was good. No staff at desk at check out but we didn't need anyone. Check in was ok, a little rushed. Overall it was fine for our one night.

Fabulous stay, fabulous staff, wish we could have stayed longer!!

Breakfast was good!
