Nice stay, nostalgic, only the advertised “restaurant/lounge” in the pics has been long gone (4 yrs) from this property. Plan to eat elsewhere.

Overall the room was of acceptable cleanliness. It need a further upgrade. The overall property wasn’t in great shape. We walked by piles of junk on the way to breakfast. Just not a good look or presentation.

Vintage rooms but accommodations were clean, bed was comfy and staff was friendly. No complaints about AC or parking. Price was reasonable.

A $100 hotel worth about $65.42

The motel could use a little updating.

Location was good. The pillows were awful. Very noisy. Could hear people talking and showering all through the night. Very dated.
-
Room was clean, staff was friendly. Would stay here again.
-
The pillows were pathetic & the bed has seen better days.
-
Spacious room. Very helpful and courteous staff member. Suitable for my wife and me.

A quaint and quiet stay. The property needs some updated, but it served our purpose. We happened to be in town on fair weekend, so the rate was high considering the condition of the property.

No problems with wi-fi. Room temperature was comfortable on a hot August day. Comfortable bed: firm mattress, pillows neither too large and solid nor too thin and skimpy. Good lighting for working at table and for reading in bed. In-room coffee. Hot water arrives promptly at shower; good flow from shower head. No problems with noise. A minor thing: the shower head is a little low, so this six-footer had to stoop to get his head under it.

Nothing. All the flies in my room.

The room was very clean parking lot needed a lot of work

This was a last minute reservation so it’s about all that was available for this time of year. I must say the three fly strips hanging in the room was a turn off and the smell of the cleaner they use was overwhelming. We got what we paid for.

Convenient, clean

This motel is exactly what we were looking for. Friendly staff at check in, reasonably priced, very simple rooms with clean beds & bathroom. We were in town to tube down the Niobrara river; due to the heat, we decided to stay in Valentine instead of tent camping at Smith Falls State Park like we usually do. Will consider returning here again next year.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Well maintained and very comfortable

Rooms were pretty big A little out dated but was in good shape
-
Hard-working, friendly owners. The motel is clearly not new but it was clean and well-suited for roadtrippers due to the ability to pull up your car to the room, great ice machine for refilling cooler, solid air-conditioning. Rooms are a bit run-down.

For almost 40 years, my family has been staying at the Raine Motel as we travel to the Blackhills or float the Niobrara. Our wonderful memories include many while staying in the clean, large rooms available at the Raine Motel. The family running the motel back then did a great job. The family owning the motel now are equally wonderful and have made a number of improvements to the motel without losing its charm. In fact, two years ago, our daughters car would not start. The owner not only provided jumper cables... but he got his pickup and got her family quickly back on the road. The owner has shared herbs from their garden and cuttings from the beautiful plants adorning their premises. We always feel welcome from the moment we check-in until the time we say good-bye.
