Mat-Su Resort

The staff are absolutely wonderful. The room and bathroom were smallish but clean and nice soaps etc. Bed was very comfortable. The location was great. It is on a small lake and it made the stay peaceful. The restaurant on property was delicious. We were there late in their tourist season and it was very quiet. Bathroom was small but they make it the best they can with the space they have.

The room was very spacious and clean, and had a patio or balcony looking out to a beautiful lake. They did not offer breakfast- but they had a restaurant that we did not go to. We stayed there twice- on our up to Denali NP, and on our way back. There are no elevators, so the first time we were on the second floor- but on our return- we requested a first floor room- which was much more convenient! It was a very nice property- and I would stay there again if we are ever in that area!

Pleasantly surprised. Room had a wonderful view of lake and mountains and the room furniture and art were beautiful. Excellent Value. Decent restaurant. I would have no hesitation recommending to friends or family.

The room had all the basic amenities There isn’t much to walk around or explore right outside the hotel, so you’ll need to travel a bit if you want to see more. Overall, it’s a simple, comfortable place. Nothing extraordinary, nothing disappointing. Great for a short, quick stay.

The staff was great in the restaurant and bar area , This was the first time we stayed here and the room was very clean, loved that there was a balcony overlooking the lake. I would say the only thing that was annoying was when watching tv it had AI that talked everytime you were looking through the channels, otherwise it was a great stay and I would stay here again.😊

Gorgeous view from our room. Everett's live music & good food. Salmon were jumping-fun to watch. Will definitely stay again.

Wow, I chose so well to stay at Mat-Su Resort! Only 12 large rooms, all facing the lake. Very comfortable bed, linens and room. They have free kayaks to borrow for guests...onsite!! Great restaurant and bar. We happened there on a Tuesday, so had live music, it was so fun! Staff was terrific, very responsive and accommodating. Only 1 hour to ANC, so easy to be in beautiful area and miss the big city feel. My only disappointment was that we didn't stay more than 1 night. I wish we'd stayed at least 2-3. That i didn't stay longer!

Our stay was the best of the entire vacation. Loved the room (including the furniture and artwork) and the view was only icing on the cake. The restaurant was great as well
