Best Western Plus Waterloo & Cedar Falls

Hotel was ok, except we did not have a working shower. Spoke to the front desk - they said that we could not be reimbursed since we pre paid for the room. Front desk rep said they did not have authority to do anything else (points,etc….), but would have the manager reach out to me on Monday - which never happened. Very disappointing!

Very nice hotel in Waterloo located near multiple restaurants.

I will start with the one negative which isn't on the hotel staff... the parking is no longer free and I suggested the appropriate person update listings on third party sites. City has taken ownership of the parking garage and no longer will allow hotel to validate. Parking, first hour free... 24 hours, $6. Not terrible but you can't go in and out freely... pun intended! Street parking free, 4pm-9am. However, there is a skywalk to the hotel, which satisfied me given I woke up to a storm and appreciated loading car dry. (Parking garage is across the street.) Staff are wonderful! I couldn't get in my room and when I shared the light was red and stayed red, she knew it was the battery and gladly changed it immediately. My room was very nice, well stocked and incredibly clean. Breakfast was hot scrambled eggs, bacon with options for make your own waffles OR pancakes. Dry cereal, dairy milk and almond milk. Sliced white bread, bagels and muffins. Fresh apples, fruit cup, applesauce and hard boiled eggs (chilled). Coffee, tea, juices, water. Ample seating. There is also a skywalk to the convention center, also across the street. John Deere Tractor & Engine Museum few minutes away. There is a restaurant next door, menu at front desk. I glanced at it and It seemed nice with reasonable prices. I ate at Starbeck's next too museum, which was very good. I would stay here again, without hesitation.

I would like them to have have more meat options for breakfast.

Rooms were excellent, breakfast was fabulous... Except for the coffee. It was so strong it could have been used as a rust remover. No half and half either, only flavored non dairy creamer

Room was clean and quiet.

NO PARKING on site. Room was on the smaller side, and view was of a couple of dumpsters in the alley, a brick wall, the large a/c units, which were very noisy- I can only describe the noise as sounding like a very large raccoon trying to scratch its way out of a nylon duffle bag. It was constant, and random all night long. I only know this because I didn’t sleep well, wondering if my car would be okay parked in an unattended parking garage where I couldn’t see it or check on it easily. Plus, the mattress had a slight dip in the middle, which was not the most comfortable… and the a/c was blasting about 2 feet from the bed, which was too much air blowing in my face, even though I turned the fan to its lowest setting and set the thermostat to 73… Pros: check in was easy and fast. Breakfast buffet had many options, price was reasonable and it was pretty easy to get to. I’m sure if I was there for an event at the convention center, this would be a very good choice.

The breakfast was way better than expected!! Exceeded expectations, and was fresh and delicious. Staff wad accommodating as well. Will return here for our next trip to cedar falls

Very comfy beds. Restaurant attached was yummy! Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean and nice. Wish there was a hot tub.

Room was clean and cool. Pool area was clean and maintained. Breakfast was great. The restaurant served fast and good food. Enjoyed our stay!

Front desk staff was incredible all during our stay! When we arrived we realized our truck wasn’t going to fit in the garage. They allowed us to park in front of the hotel. Also really appreciated the guest laundry machines as my husband is riding RAGBRAI. Walkable area with several restaurants nearby and we enjoyed martinis at the lounge. Great place to stay in downtown Waterloo!

This was a nice hotel with a great breakfast selection.

The hotel was clean, friendly staff. We had no issues. It was downtown but parking was easy to use and it has an enclosed 2nd story walkway. They validated you parking ticket so no extra charge.
