Hampton Inn West Valley Salt Lake City

At some point, Expedia claims I filed a complaint that my room had no running water, so I just want to say that this is NOT TRUE. The hotel was comfortable and clean. The in-room carpet was a little unpleasant on bare feet but hey, it’s a hotel. Also it might be nice if the pool and hot tub were open later on weekends. But overall this was a great stay. Thank you!

Parking, breakfast, coffee ,tea, location, proximity to the walk able lake trail and the large room size were my favorite things, The girl not activating my Mom's room key and then making me ask her twice to fix it and then she still did not do it and I went to the car to grab more stuff...with my arms bursting with items she with a straight face still did not have that stinking key ready. I guess she was waiting for me to drop all my stuff in the lobby...panties and all. Then like seriously 5 minutes later the two of them were able to crack to code and get out second room key working. Really??? The attitude is not appreciated when more is paid and the property has an expectation of decency and expediency. But ...you didn't care.

The staff was so polite and helpful with questions I had and when I needed a new key. The pool was great for my daughter and it was very clean.

The staff was particularly helpful to us. When we had to leave early in the morning before the breakfast buffet was open, a representative gave us "to-go" bags with food so that we wouldn't be hungry on our long flight home.

The room appeared clean but had stains on the carpet and the bed looked like it wasn’t changed. The fitted sheet was almost off of the bed and extremely wrinkled. Hopefully it was clean.

The sign on the pool says 7 o’clock, but the front desk at eight if that’s the case, you need to change the sign to say eight

The room was great. Breakfast was great. Weight room was DUSTY.

Breakfast was good. Rooms were spacious. Ice and water on every floor. It was a very cozy experience. The 12pm checkout was the best part. Only qualm is get curtains that cover the windows entirely - the sun beams in on the Eastern side of the building.

After checking out, we realized we had accidentally left two expensive shirts hanging in the closet—an Ed Hardy shirt and official MGK tour merchandise with both monetary and sentimental value. We contacted the hotel right away, but were simply told the items “weren’t found.” My biggest disappointment isn’t just that the shirts are missing, it’s the lack of concern or effort to investigate. We were left on hold for an extended period and never felt like anyone genuinely tried to help or thoroughly look into what happened. If you stay here, I strongly recommend double-checking your room before you leave and keeping track of your belongings. Based on our experience, if something is left behind, you may not get it back.

Staff are amazing

It was clean and comfortable , breakfast was so-so the tv in our room wouldn’t turn on for some reason?

Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast!
