Pleasant View Inn

They closed the restaurant with no warning. The TV cable quit. I didn’t bother asking why. It was out for days. Traveled over 1500 miles to a lousy hotel. “Off season” not recommended.

Love the beachfront location on a quieter end of the street .,Female staff at front desk were very helpful . I would have preferred to have made reservation directly with the hotel as Expedia rate for off season was still pricey

There was no breakfast - only coffee . The location and view are phenomenal ! The hotel room was in desperate need of updating . The carpet was gross - the AC is in the wall was and loud and rusted . There was only one side table by the bed .

We stayed ocean-side on the second floor. The room and balcony were very small, but super clean, with quality bath products and extra towels. You can't beat the location and the view! The sound of the waves right outside your window is heavenly! The staff were very friendly and helpful! The restaurant was just ok, but again with amazing ocean views that make up for average food. For the restaurant, little things like wiping all the dead bugs off the window sills, making sue sides are cooked and warm, etc. would elevate the dining as the flavors were good. The pool was clean and the fire tables well-maintained. The area is wonderful as we were able to walk the beach all the way to the lighthouse and back, and slightly off-season, we had it almost to ourselves. Overall, we highly recommend the Inn for the views, cleanliness and friendliness!

In the restaurant, they were not able to serve 20% of what was on the menu. The waitress on 9/17 was very professional and explained the situation very well. Middle aged woman with a pleasant smile and greeting. On 9/18, we sat at the bar. The female bartender was also exceptional (even during the bar getting slammed for about an hour), she stayed professional and was not afraid to admit to a small mistake she made. During her busy time at the bar and the busy time the night before, I did notice, what appeared to be the resturant manager really not assiting her-unless he was asked by patrons to put up appetizers etc... He should have noticed that. Great view....

We would have loved to be able to eat breakfast or have a breakfast bar option on site. The restaurant was fantastic for lunch and dinner, too and also right at the water’s edge! A coffee maker in the room would have been great! We were happy there was a fridge and waters upon arrival. We will be back!

We've stayed at this property before. While the property is older , the location is ideal. Right on the water. Next door to the Andrea. Beautiful views and beach. Fire pits by heated pool were great added bonus. Coffee and tea available all day! Restaurant is excellent and view from inside is also water view. Staff is awesome including front front desk to bartenders, servers and house keeping. Rooms can use some TLC but again older property and not hanging in the room all day. Bed was comfy and sheets blankets very clean. Looked like new linens. We will be back!

Wonderful location! Spectacular staff! Hotel restaurant had the best clam chowder ever. Our room had a view of the ocean. The weather was perfect. We were able to leave the sliding glass door open and fall asleep to the sounds of the waves crashing on the shore. Again, I must say the staff was so helpful, pleasant outgoing, I would highly recommend the hotel

We have been going to this property for 10 years now and we make sure to add it every year to our vacation list. From the balconies, it is by far the best/closest view of the ocean that we have ever experienced. It has all the amenities that our family needs as well from the pool to the Resturaunt. Always meets our expectations and we are never disappointed!!!!

The only redeeming quality about this hotel is its waterfront location. The staff are rude. They snuck on a $45 resort fee, despite “all fees and taxes included “- the rooms smell strongly of mildew. We did not have a private balcony. This room was tiny, and smelled and obscenely overpriced for what it was. Disgusting stains on the lamps and nightstands. The complimentary “rum punch” is a joke. How about they keep their rum punch and bottled water, and give me my $45 resort fee. The 4:00 check in time is also absurd. They would not allow us to come in at 3:00 unless we paid a $60 fee!! These people are thieves. I will never again give them my money. Midweek off season- hotel was empty- and you can’t allow me an early chick in unless I give you even MORE of my money??? Never again

Nice place for girls getaway

It was a nice beach side hotel. Perfectly located to everything the area has to offer

The staff was so friendly and accommodating. I felt like family. I did have a couple of things that contributed to four stars instead of five. One was that we had to drag our heavy suitcases up stairs. Next time I will just bring a duffel bag and backpack. The second was that the room could have been cleaner. We did unfortunately find some toenail clippings on the carpet when we arrived. We noticed that some of the other rooms did not have carpet and felt like that was the right move to make as the carpet was very old and holding onto the smells of ocean water. However, I felt like the rest of the hotel was clean and our bathroom was clean and the best shower of our 10 day trip where we stayed at five different hotels. So that was very exciting. Also prepare for a very laid-back stay. If you want new towels or toilet paper, you’re better to go down to the front desk and ask for it. It really does feel like a family environment. And it is right on the ocean, which we loved! The bartender was very kind and quick. We were on a girls trip and enjoyed getting our drinks from the bar and sitting out on the patio and the beach. It was a great time and like I said, I would simply pack better the next time!

Reception never even spoke to us as we walked by Back door to patio stayed unsafely stuck open all the time Things are old looking and dingy. For the cost

The rooms are extremely small but clean. I asked for a beach view. Sent messages to ensure. I was told I had a standard room however i thought it was a premium/deluxe. This may have been an error on my part. 1st room was smaller than my bathroom 1/2parking 1/2pool. Over $400. Upgrade to a king w/beach view additional $100+ . Have vacationed in the area for over 30yrs. My husband and I always walked by ,looks like a nice place. This year, as a new widow I thought I would give it a try. The price and size and the shared beach up the road definitely will not be ding this again. Staff were helpful and very kind however.
