. Why would you have carpet in a beach motel ??
-
staff was nice but is run down ac is full of mold and finishes in the rooms are gross.

Great, clean place to stay. Right next to the beach!

Our stay was meh/ok..beach and view is excellent! Our room, poolside had some issues. There was a large wet spot under AC, the door to the outside had gaps when closed and even though it locked- there were slivers of the outside light that came through, the bedside table top drawer didn’t shut and kept rolling open. We awoke to the lawn being cut at 8am. Main building and restrooms were extremely hot. All minor issues but for the price, we would choose another hotel in the future.

A clean beachfront hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms not huge, but big enough, clean, and seem recently updated. The restaurant food was average, but the view was wonderful and the prices were fair. We would gladly stay here again.

The hotel and restaurant are wonderful. Unfortunately, there is limited beach available for guests.

The rooms were not what we expected. Expedia described the hotel and room location to be beach view with balcony. When we got there the rooms were very small and were not beach view and had no balcony. Kids were disappointed. Furthermore, we asked for the rooms to be cleaned and we were told we will try to clean the rooms. We waited all day and the rooms were never cleaned. One more issue we had which was major my kids made some noise during our first night stay. We had a stranger knocking on our door in the evening and was very upset with a threatening voice yelling and asked us to quiet done. The kids were terrified and did not want wanted to stay in the hotel. In the morning I reported the incident to the front desk and they seem to dismiss the seriousness of the issue and lightly told me the person should have going to the front desk and not knock on our door. They did nothing to address the problem. Overall our vacation did not go as planned and we are very disappointed with our stay!

No elevators, and the place was like a maze! Took a while to find our room. Once we got settled in, the hotel was comfortable and bar star as friendly . View of the ocean from the balcony was beautiful. Would stay again but will definitely request a 1st floor room!

We stayed in a “partial ocean view” room on the first floor. It had a small balcony that overlooked the patio by the restaurant and beyond that, the water. It was indeed a pleasant view. The hotel, like most in the immediate vicinity, is a little worn around the edges (especially for the rate we paid) but you can’t beat the location, everything was comfortable, and all we needed was available. The pool was warm and a popular spot. Heads up that the WiFi is spotty and cell reception terrible. But who cares? The hotel gave us two drink tickets for rum punch at the bar, which has a lovely view, and a pass to the town beach(es) upon request. The beach right in front is private for hotel guests but if you want to wander farther the pass is a good idea. The beach and water itself was clean and picturesque, full of families and boogie boarding kids, etc. There are a number of restaurants on the water as well, and some cute spots to grab a breakfast sandwich in the morning. A place to rent kayaks and paddle boards on the pond is within walking distance. Some folks come to party (not crazy or loud), the evidence of which is visible in the morning (bits of beachwear and cups around the lounge chairs) which was kind of funny. On the whole the vibes were good.

Room are clean but very small and beds are honestly made for 1 person even though they state they are double. Balconies are so tight they barely fit 2 people. Good things are you can use all facilities while you wait until 4pm to. Heck in. If you want early check in it’s $125 which is ridiculous as these rooms are overpriced to begin with..

From the moment we pulled into the parking lot, I knew I had made a mistake. This is much more of a motel than a hotel. The first impression was disappointing, and unfortunately it only got worse. Check-in was unpleasant. The older woman at the front desk was rude, dismissive, and very short with her responses. Whether she was having a bad day or not, it wasn't a welcoming experience. To make matters worse, there was a strong unpleasant odor as soon as we walked inside. Walking to our room, the property felt run down. Employees were standing in the hallway on their phones, even bumping into guests as they walked by. The floors, walls, and doors looked dirty and poorly maintained. I booked a pool-view room thinking it would be worth paying extra. It absolutely was not. The keypad on the door was rusted, and the door didn't even seal shut properly. The carpet was filthy, the room had a musty smell, the TV remote didn't work, and the bathroom was dirty. There was even a hole in the shower wall near the showerhead. Even the towels were disappointing. Every towel had "PV" written on it in black marker, and the bath towels were so small they were barely larger than a towel you'd expect at a gym. It made the whole place feel cheap and poorly maintained.

Nice stay. Only overnight.

Wouldn't recommend it.

The location was perfect, The place is dated and is in need of up grades. The staff was very good and were helpful. The AC units were good but a lot of rust on the outside. Hallways were covered with sand that ended up in your room. They need to change up there menu to offer lighter lunch choices seemed everything was based on there dinner menu. They don't allow you to order what you want you have to pick from the menu and like it or not. Good thing there are restaurants close by for a better dining experience. They could use some night entertainment very boring at night. balconies are very small difficult for two people to get on and off. Positioning of AC units allow water to drip on balconies below. Place could use ductless mini split Heat pump units would be more practical. maid service needs some attention we had to move our refrigerator to turn it up it was warm upon arrival and it didn't look like anyone had cleaned under it in a long time. Parking lot needs better lighting it was dark out there. To end this review we would rate The Pleasant View in as a 3 star.

It was a wonderful place to stay and the environment was fantastic

Enjoyed the location on the beach. Disappointed that they did not clean the rooms AT ALL. When we checked out we were told they don’t clean unless specifically requested THE EVENING before. Sand was all over the room and on the sheets. Had to go find more clean towels on our own. When checking out the girl told us this was because of Covid. Seriously??? It’s 2026. Covid is long over. They should charge LESS then!! I was searching for clean towels and linens every day. Staff not overly friendly.

Easy check in, helpful staff, bar and wait staff is great, food and drinks are great, location and property is top notch, clean maintained rooms and building. Always great stay!

Food at dinner was awesome..Seafood Medley great value. Clam chowder a hit too. Very convenient parking.

The room was disgusting… in a hallway like a cruise ship.. out of our window all we saw was a wall. the rug had stains all over it, the light on the night stand was full of rust, fridge with stains all over the front. My friends room upstairs was much nicer with an ocean view. But for $600 a night, I expected way better conditions. I’m very unhappy.

Carpet was dirty even when vacuumed. We were not informed that there was no cleaning service such as clean towels but we had to ask. Shower stall was worrisome because there was not a properly placed hold bar and we are in our late 80s. Absence of showers to rinse after leaving the beach to prevent bringing sand into room. Employees were very polite and nice and tried to be helpful. Restaurant very good.
