The Westin Westminster

There was a massive construction/remodel effort underway that was not mentioned on the website. Guest elevators were unavailable and all guests had to take staff elevators. The lobby was rendered pretty much unusable. The staff was clearly under pressure and did well to help but I wish there was mention made on their website.

The property should designate a parking area for their hotel guests instead of selling to people who came to watch the fireworks. I was out for dinner and came back with no parking space. Because I came from out of state and not familiar with the area, I was driving around for 1 1/2 hours until the fireworks was done. The staff failed to inform me of the parking space situation for an event like this.

Loud construction that was not mentioned would be going on. Not pleasant.

The hotel is an beautiful location. The bar has the most delicious Bloody Marys.

We had paid to park on property 15 dollars a day and could not park close. I have issues walking a long distance due to i have knee and hip, back issues. This was disturbing to us.also we don't know the area well so safety is a question. We tried to go swimming but pool was really dirty. The construction was annoying due to not being able to walk into desk had to come in clear away from desk. On the positive side the staff was really nice and the room was nice. The bed and sheets were amazing! Thank you

Toilet broken

The room was clean, the bar/restaurant was nice to meet up as a group with family members, and the staff was helpful. I would recommend this hotel.

Location

The lobby is under construction you have to walk all the way around. Im in a medical boot so it was almost 1 mile from parking lot around to the lobby. The waitress at the restaurant was so rude. We waited 5 minutes to be seated and the bartender said to take a seat so we choose a table. Than the server shows up totally rude that we were already sat.

Very nice views! Our room was very clean and nice. Restaurants close to the hotel. Next time we’re in Westminster we will for sure be back!

The pool is freezing. There was clearly a leak in the ceiling that had left a huge bubbled area over the middle of the pool and several other bubbled spots. The women’s sauna did not work. Parking is not free even though the lot is huge and there are several other hotels in the area that have free parking and lastly the internet is also not free. Who charges for internet in 2026?!? If you need to stay in the area go across the street to the Drury Hotel or choose any other hotel. Very disappointed in this hotel. It’s definitely NOT Marriott quality.

Clean, professional, quiet, well decorated. Love the Heavenly Bed. We bought a Heavenly Bed and accessories from the Pottery Barn. That is how great the Westin is! Thank you. Nothing

The staff wasn’t helpful and it was old and run down

After walking around the property, it became pretty clear this wasn’t an isolated issue. The entire hotel felt warm except for the lobby. It honestly felt like the hotel was intentionally limiting the air conditioning to save money while guests were left sweating in their rooms. I don’t pay Westin rates to sleep in an 80-degree room. The fact that multiple rooms had the same problem tells me management is aware of it and has chosen not to address it. A clean room and friendly staff can’t make up for the fact that I couldn’t get comfortable or get a decent night’s sleep. If you’re staying here during warm weather, be prepared for a hot room and a frustrating experience. I won’t be staying here again, and I would not recommend this property to anyone expecting the level of comfort and quality that the Westin brand is supposed to provide.

Air conditioner wasn't working well

Very clean. Day staff was amazing, night staff could be better. The only thing that is unfortunate is having to pay and find parking. Other than that, really awesome hotel! Will stay again.
