Howard Johnson by Wyndham Wichita Airport

It’s old and abused, probably used for homeless, we needed a place to stay for one night and we were glad to find it. Our accommodations were cancelled without notice and most of the hotels were full up, making finding a place difficult. The ones we did find available, right next door prices on internet did not match the exuberant amount they were demanding. Howard Johnson’s was reasonably clean, there was a bed which sufficed. I do not regret staying there, it was quiet and I slept well enough to continue my journey down the road. The staff was very helpful, and theres no amenities.

Staff was hateful

The staff is fantastic but this hotel could really use a remodel. The price is great and the staff was great! It’s in dire need of a remodel or a deep clean.

I did not have a hair dryerer, the elevator near my room did not work, it was hot, there was no coffee in the room and there was no turn over service during the stay. Disappointing for a $200 per night hotel stay.

So dirty. Not good. Itchy sheets. Bad experience overall.

Terrible experience! The room was very humid and opening the window didn’t help. The room carpet was all damp and dirty. The beddings were all dirty. The room key didn’t work… had to walk back n forth to get it fixed. Never coming back.

This was a horrible hotel. The bed sheets had holes in them, the lights beside bed didn't work, when I told staff, he acted like he was not concerned or noted anything for repairs. The bath towels as super small, took 3 to dry off and are worn out. Rating were far to high!

Parking was terrible, you have to loop around another hotel from a unpaved side road, go out on the access road then turn into this place. No elevator and side doors are not accessible, even with key, after a certain time. Stairs and hallway carpet was disgusting and hot. Room was extremely hot when we went in, thankfully the AC was decent as long as it didnt kick off we were okay. No toilet paper, which sucked after a 6 hr drive, carrying stuff upstairs, then have to wait to go back down stairs, get our own toilet paper (and clean towels) back upstairs, just to pee. Floor mat that is using over the side of the tub was either used or stained so bad it looks used. Bathtub and chair had cigarette burns. Advertised as a smoke free room and facility. I am allergic to tobacco smoke. Had to take benadryl it flared up my allergies so bad. Single set of towels and a joke for a set of toiletries. Its a packet like ketchup comes in. Barely enough to even use. Thankfully we were just sleeping there and going to the wildlife park the next morning. Bed was squeaky and somehow too soft and too hard at the same time. Sheets and pillows were yellow, and were all different, but all cheap and uncomfortable. I slept on my travel neck pillow. If it wouldnt have been midnight and the room being non-refundable, we would have left. The people were meh, not rude, not really concerned either. Couple other things, but I've ran out of characters 🙃

It was dirty and nasty, our ac didn’t work and I called and they said they would send someone up and they never showed up and the next morning the manager asked us about it and I told her what they said and she said they don’t even have maintenance there they should’ve given me another room

This place was horrible. We viewed the room before we checked in. It had roaches. The parking lot was nasty. There were unsavory characters hanging around outside. We ended up not staying there. We drove over to the LaQuinta which was nice and stayed there.

Staff was friendly near everything but we were bit by something in the room and still recovering from the bites I hate to say bedbugs but I don’t know what else it could have been. Had to buy towels at the Walmart as the towels were so thin they felt like sand paper. The only good thing is you don’t have to pay a deposit to stay here. The hallways reeked of THC. The vending machines only take cash or coins it’s so outdated. This place needs to go ahead and close with the rest of them. I was shocked it was still open has to be the last one still hanging on. It’s difficult to get to with it being on the opposite side of the highway. We will not be staying again. Thankfully there are 2 hotel chains on opposite sides of it. I tried to wake up early and stay out late everyday we were in town and check out early.

It’s close to the Airport

Good price and decent rooms for what we paid.

Dirty, broken, no towels, awful, possible illegal activities, broken and destroyed furniture.

The receptionist was very kind and efficient. The bed was comfortable. The window curtain was torn letting in light. They had no airport shuttle as listed. The receptionist stated they had repeatedly informed booking.com of that fact. The coffee was undrinkable. No eggs for breakfast.

The rooms are clean and the staff is nice.I enjoy my stay.
