Matador Oceanfront Resort

Initially we got a hotel room, and were advised multiple times it did not have a view and if we were ok with that. Well for one night, a last minute reservation, and at an unbeatable rate, we were ready for a closet. To our surprise not only was the hotel in a great location but our room was a standard hotel room, king size bed, adequate shower with hot water AND a small window that look right at the Ocean! Their fourth floor terrace is welcoming and have great views, specially of the Saturday’s firework. So we had never been to Wildwood and fell for the vibe, so we asked whether they had any cancellation. They were 100% booked. As we were taking a stroll on the Boardwalk, we received a call that someone had cancelled an efficiency room ad if we wanted to book. Their hospitality and service were excellent. Highly recommend.

The pool was clean, and they have a laundry area (self- pay). The highlight of the stay was that they let us check in 3 hours ready without requesting it in andvance. We were planning on only using the parking when we arrived, but the manager told us that the room was ready and that we could use it immediately. This was, of course a great gesture. Overall, the premises look exactly as the pictures showed, the staff was accomodating, and everything was super clean.

Perfect choice for our stay. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. Front desk associates were warm & friendly. Pool and rooms were extremely clean & the kids LOVED the pool and playground. And it’s so close to the beach that we were easily able to get the kids up and hit the beach in the morning to watch the sunrise. The ONLY downside is that it’s at the very end of the boardwalk, slightly away from the piers and shops but there’s a bike rental almost as soon as you enter the boardwalk by the hotel so that helped! Will be booking again!

Right on the boardwalk and so much closer to the beach than most properties. The rooftop deck was beautiful.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here and will 100% be back. The office staff was absolutely wonderful. They were accommodating and friendly. They were very flexible with things too. Rooms were clean and spacious.

Everything was great. The location, the cleanliness of our room and our room had everything we could possibly need during our stay. The parking is terrible. The spaces are very tight and it makes it almost impossible to get in and out of your car.

The rooftop’s unobstructed view of the sunrises is my favorite aspect of the hotel. The facilities, including the pool, are very clean and the beds are comfortable. The entire property is family friendly. We love the adjoining playground. The location is amazing and right by the beach. Staff are friendly and attentive. Loved everything!
