Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Williamsburg East (Busch Gardens), VA

First day at property room door jammed wouldn't open,second morning got out of bed stepped into carpet filled with water from air conditioning

The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms are obviously older, not the cleanest we’ve stayed in. The hallways were hot, but rooms were thankfully cool. The elevator was incredibly slow, constantly beeping. Pool was ok, but water was pretty cloudy. Fine for a couple nights, but not what I expected for the price.

Nothing I like it was very dirty and smell in the hallway and room I will not recommend any one to come

Location was excellent, staff (level of customer service) was also excellent, and pool was great, but this place (other than the lobby) needs help. Carpets in hallway are filthy, all surfaces have major chips in paint and throughout...not small areas, all surfaces looked like they had just had a quick mop but not clean...only surface cleaned but major dirt in corners, the entire hotel looked like it was just run down and not kept up in years....this is not what I expect or have experienced at other Country Inn and Suites across the country. Room was just serviceable but wouldn't want to really spend any time there. First room they gave me (106) was so musty and mildew smelling that I asked them to move me...2nd room was OK but bed headboard was part of an additional partial wall (for both beds together) that was not attached to the wall...just leaning behind the beds and moved whenever you leaned against it...making noise as it smacked the wall. Breakfast was so limited and tasted bad that I eat out every day. Pet fees were also quite high for such a hotel...I was staying 4 nights, they charged per dog for each night, totalling $280. If I had known that ahead of time and the quality of the room...I would have stayed elsewhere. Although the staff and pool were great, would only stay here again if it were only for a single night...not multi day stay.This is only a 2 star hotel, not 3 and very run down.

The entire property needs major updating. It worked for what we needed, but we would not likely stay there again.

We've been visiting this facility since 2017. The new admins (I believe) are very friendly and helpful. They are attentive and eager to resolve any issues we had. The only issue we had is still that the facility is due for a renovation. It would be costly to the management team but it should be worthy for the long run.

Looked like it was from some old apartment, the beds were comfy. Room needs two showers not 1.5 baths for four people all having to take turns showering is not ideal. For the price ok.

Will definitely return to this hotel whenever I come back to Williamsburg V.A

Hotel is quite outdated, but well maintained. Breakfast was great, and in fact this hotel serves its purpose for weekends, especially with kids. The pool needs major cleaning or updates. Not far at all from amusement parks.

The family suite does not have a door between the bedrooms. The rooms are good but the property itself is very run down and messy. All outdoor trash cans were heaping full and there was a lot of debris and boxes scattered around common areas and outside. The hallway carpets were in need of cleaning and there was a mop and bucket full of water that sat in the stairwell on the 1st floor for at least 12 hours. As someone who travels with a dog the outside maintenance of a hotel is something that is important to me. The dog waste bin was overflowing and the underground parking area had a lot of trash and empty boxes. I’d stay here again for the location, room cleanliness and size, and it being dog-friendly.

The rooms very clean, all the staff was very nice and helpful. They have a parking in front and garage, the pool was very clean, baby pool plus 3ft -5ft for relaxing. I would definitely recommend it!!

Room was adequate size and beds were comfortable. Check in was easy. However…rooms were not well maintained, both of them had light bulbs out in the bathroom and the front door to one was very sticky and did not close smoothly. The bathroom was clean but very worn with paint chipping and below average water pressure. Breakfast was underwhelming, needed more non-carb options. There was 1 basket of apples the first day and no other fruit, no yogurt or anything else heslthy besides eggs. The second day there was just 1 apple left in the basket and no one refilled it or put out any other fruit.

Rooms were ok. Bathroom sink was clogged and super small. Needs updating.

All staff members were very kind and welcoming. They made a huge difference in our stay. Breakfast was also super convenient for getting ahead of the day. There are a lot of reviews raving about the cleanliness, and I wouldn’t say that was our experience. Our room wasn’t very clean, especially the bathroom. The hallways and stairwells are all very dirty. Repairs are needed nearly everywhere. The furniture seemed relatively new but upholstery was ripped and laminate on hard furniture was stripping off. Carpets and tiles in hallways need replaced (we tripped a few times on broken tiles), paint peeling and stained everywhere. We didn’t use the pool or hot tub, but it looked fine from a distance and the hours were good. This would be a good place to stay if you’re looking for a good price and won’t be spending much time in your hotel.

I think the Hotel may have new owners and are in the process of updating/renovating. The carpet on the third-floor hallway showed some wear, but smelled clean! I’m not spending a lot of time in the hallways anyway, so it is the condition of the room that matters most to me, and it was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable!! The complementary breakfast was good. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful! The elevator was a bit slow sometimes, so we used the stairs. No problem! Excellent location! Nice shade in the parking lot. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay and felt we received excellent value for the price we paid. We stayed during the week when the rate was lower. We would definitely stay again!!

Room was okay wasn't the best. Staff was nice. Bags of the trash in stair well and had a smell in hallways but room was ok. Location was good very close to Busch Gardens

The rooms were needing cleaning for real not just a change of sheets. Mold around tub, sink spout was broken, everything was dirty
