Location and food

Excellent views of the ocean. Beaches are great. Restaurant was excellent. No elevator but they carried our luggage up to the 3rd floor. Nothing.
-
It’s a unique place to stay. Broken items in the bathroom. Hard beds.

It was great that it was outside the city in a quiet neighborhood, close to the water. The room was small but all we needed. The house was quaint and old but beautifully updated and charming. Not a lot of staff availablity. We left around 9:00am and no one was around. There was a restaurant but nothing for breakfast for a to go order. From the map, I could see a beach and hoped we could have coffee and a pastery at the beach. This wasn't realistic as the beach was tide out and mostly rocks and sea algae. We did sit on the wall and watch the ocean.

The location near the water and the in house pub. Cozy atmosphere. Incredibly helpful young man serving as valet parking guy who carried my bag upstairs (no elevator). That there was truly PLENTY of coffee in the room while waiting for a nearby diner to open at 7 am (no breakfast on site, I knew that) I have never complained about a bed before but this one was simply not the best and do not think it had to do with my personal taste.

This is an adorable older property, located within a gorgeous residential neighborhood. And cones with views of the Atlantic! I felt like I stepped back in time. The restaurant is fabulous as well. I had a wonderful stay.

Clean, comfortable and good location. There is no staff until 3pm so you can't check in any earlier

Our stay was very relaxing. The view was beautiful, the nearby beach was calm, and everything was very clean. The room was spacious and quiet, with a large TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, renovated shower, and automatic air-conditioning. We also enjoyed the wonderful walks around the area. There was nothing significant that we disliked. We had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

It was a great stay, the place have a lot of comfort/style. It’s like 15 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from Boston city center yet it’s still quiet and right on the water in a beach town. The room was clean and comfy too.

Quaint place with great food.

The town of Winthrop and the location of the hotel specifically was pleasant, near the water. Lovely walks along the shore The hotel does not have an elevator. Fortunately, one of the staff carried our suitcases upstairs. The hotel does not have late check out. The woman receptionist was barely civil.

Food was excellent as well as service. Room was clean and comfortable bed and pillows. There were no towels in the bathroom.

Great boutique style hotel right across street from the bay. Charming inside with updated rooms. Only issue is no elevator, so if you are staying on 3rd floor with a lot of luggage, may be an issue. Rooms start on second floor, so stairs are required for stay. Loves the restaurant and perfect for our group as we came in late and didn’t have to leave for dinner. Food very good. Would stay there again.

No breakfast. No elevator. No shuttle to the airport. 5 remotes in the room with no instruction. Only one wall receptacle would hold our phone charger. All others were so worn that the phone charger would fall out. Could not hear the tv over the noise of the air conditioner. All of the above. I will say that dinner was pretty good.

When we arrived the restaurant was closed with a sign on the door showing a telephone number to call to get access to the hotel. There was no on site staff. We stayed on the second floor in an ocean view Queen room. The wallpaper in the room was pealing off the walls, fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling, one window blind was missing and the other blind did not work. When we checked out on July 10th, I requested the owner/manager contact me regarding the quality of the room for the price paid. I was told they were renovating the property - the third floor was done but not the second floor. We stayed the night of July 9th - I am writing this review on July 16th having never received any call.
-
When I went to check-in, there was no one at reception and the place was dark. There was a note on the front door that the restaurant was closed for a week and that there would be minimal facilities available. There was another couple there from Scotland who were left with the same problem..I rang the number and finally a man arrived to take me to a room on the second floor. No elevator but he did help me with my bags. The room was adequate but the airconditioner sounded like a plane taking off all night. There was nothing in the vending machine. I used Uber to order a meal as there are no restaurants nearby. I left early the next morning. Unfortunately I could not recommend this hotel as they had not let me know of their closure so I could have booked elsewhere. This is the first bad review I have ever made in many years of travelling with Hotels.com.

This inn was conveniently located near Logan airport for an easy drive in the morning. A refrigerator was provided. The room was very overpriced. We paid 333.00 for one night and were given a small room with one queen bed. The "ocean view" was a peekaboo through buildings across the street so not really as advertised. The lighting was outdated and insufficient. Parking was "iffy" as the small parking lot was also for the restaurant downstairs so we had to find a spot on the street. Not convenient for moving bags around.
