Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Ann Arbor Ypsilanti

We are from the area and wanted a staycation. This is our 2nd time here. It's nice, clean, close to restaurants, near the expressway and the people here are so kind.

The room was clean and the breakfast was great! We stayed for the Morgan Wallen concert at the Big House and the location compared to campus wasn’t terrible. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff were great. Room was so-so. Holes in carpet, black stuff in corners of tub, refrigerator was loud, black out curtains too small to cover window. Only maid service in 3 days was one fresh set of towels. Breakfast had good variety but they ran out of number of items after the first morning and they weren’t restocked. Price of room was jacked up because of Morgan Wallen concert in Ann Arbor. Otherwise we were glad to even have a room.

Refrigerator and microwave in every room, breakfast was good with eggs, meat and hash browns. Quiet not much noise or disturbance and a nice gym.

The Breakfast was great with many choices and presented in a careful, clean, and thoughtful manner. Attention to details such as glucose monitoring or lactose tolerance was a pleasant surprise! The staff was friendly and went above and beyond! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. When I say clean, I mean exceptional. Not every hotel understands the importance of feeling like the private spaces (rooms) are clean, this hotel was exceptional in this! I would certainly stay here again! The pool was inoperable and possibly could be remodeled to larger.

My only complaint would be the gym. It really needs more equipment. It only has dumbbells and tread mills

Breakfast was pretty crappy. It was hard to get luggage trolley into room, and luggage trolley had crappy wheels

When I return to the Hotel from an event on June 12th, the power was out. This was 9 PM and other guest stated it had been going on for a while. My room was on the 4th floor. There was no elevator service, no TV, and no AC. The power came back on about 7AM. The room was 80 degrees, and when I did start to drift off asleep, the AC unit startled me awake making a loud noise as it was trying to start. The loud noises was at least once an hour which prevented any meaningful sleep. The Fairfield Inn guarantee states "If you're not satisfied with your stay, just let us know, and we'll make it right. I brought my issue up to the front desk, to 3 different employees, and each time they said the manager instructed them to offer no compensation due to a minor inconvenience. Calling no elevator, AC, or TV a minor inconvenience just adds insult to injury. I was shocked. And now I expect them to make it right. We will see.

Clean room, good variety of items for the free breakfast including bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, oatmeal bar, and other continental type offerings. Friendly staff. Easy check in. A Iittle warm and muggy in the main areas but not a deal breaker.

We stayed at this hotel because we were attending a wedding at Eagle Crest. The staff was outstanding from Check In to taking and picking us up in their shuttle for the wedding.

It was convenient location. Property was maintained well and checking in was efficient.
