Marriott Albany

Clean, organized and quiet! Also renovated very comfortable stay. Thanks to the team at the Marriott.

Pool was closed, all breakfast advertised wasn’t available ( no buffet etc) and if you’re not a member you even have to pay for internet. Hadnt experienced that in a while! Not worth the cost I would say.

All in all it was a good stay. Beds were comfy. Toilet was very low, needs updating. Walls seemed pretty thin, allowing noise from other rooms to be heard. Staff was very kind and helpful.

Staff was great. Was super excited the hotel being so close by restaurants. Clean property would definitely stay again

The front desk people were very helpful and friendly.

It's inconvenient that WiFi costs money, there's no microwave oven in the room, and the electrical outlets have poor contact.

Check in took me over half an hour. I was told I had no reservation at this hotel. Even though I gave the Marriott confirmation number. I even showed the confirmation on my phone. Then they tried to tell me I was at the wrong hotel. Again I showed them the booking information and hotel address on my Marriott phone AP. Then I was told to wait off to the side for the manager, so several other guests that were behind me could check in. Very embarrassing for me. Eventually the manager came and we went through the same process. She eventually found my reservation, after pausing to take several phone calls during the process. Then she proceeded to tell me it was my fault because I booked it through Expedia. She offered no apology. Then I hauled all my luggage up to the 6 floor and found out the room keys I was given didn’t work. She didn’t activate them. More excuses were made after I had to again wait in a long line for help. Ended up missing my dinner reservation because of this experience. To top it off my room was filthy, Stained sheets and mold and filth in the bathroom. I have pictures of everything. This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Marriott Property. They also charged my credit card twice during my stay with no explanation for what these charges are for. My room was pre paid through Expedia and all I did was sleep there.
