Marriott Albany

The WiFi didn’t work for me. Input in my ost name and room number, but it didn’t work.

The hotel itself is old and dated, which I can overlook. The bathroom was tiny, the view from our room was literally a brick wall, and the TV was slanted sideways and kept tipping backward no matter what we did. Again, none of that would have been a huge deal. What really bothered me was the cleanliness. There was visible dirt and dust throughout the room, and the bathroom floor and shower had long, dark women’s hairs and dust on them. There was also a stale smell in the room. I didn’t even want to put my bare feet on the floor. The bed itself was clean and comfortable, which was at least a positive. We are Marriott Gold members, and after spending 9 hours in the car, we were exhausted and just wanted to get to bed, so we didn’t bother complaining at the time. But honestly, I could overlook an old hotel, a tiny bathroom, a bad view and a wonky TV if the room were actually clean. And then, when we checked out this morning, we weren’t even asked how our stay was. That was disappointing in itself, especially considering the issues we had with the room. It would have been nice to at least have someone ask. For a Marriott, and especially for a property where guests have status, I expected better. Cleanliness should be the bare minimum.

Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable!

Water was lukewarm on the fourth floor. Bathroom was moldy. Bed was comfortable. Room was nice and modern. Good desk and workspace. Great location.

Clean room, comfortable beds

Check in was very late, you can not go into the room until 4pm in the afternoon. This leaves some people inconvenienced or venerable if you need to be in a safe space earlier. Departure has to be by noon the next day. A lot of individuals need a place earlier depending on flights or driving. In winter one is essentially coming at night only or wait in the lobby for 5 hours.

Nice property, great location

The room was clean, the restaurant food was good. The pool area was nice. Close to the airport.

The hotel needs to be remodeled. The air was humid, and the cleanliness needs to be addressed in the rooms. It may have been we were in the first floor, but the room was tiny , popcorn ceilings, humid air. I wouldn’t stay here again. The only good thing is the driving service to get you to the airport.

Everything was dirty. The staff was disrespectful and we had to leave before checkout time and I never got my money back. You guys suck.

The staff at this Marriott were very helpful! Unfortunately, the hotel itself was dirty and air conditioning units were not working in several of the rooms. This Marriott definitely needs a refresh!

The restaurant staff were very sloppy and forgot my order and blamed it on the system meantime everyone else was getting their order. The blanket inside the sheets had blood stain on it. No trash bags in the cans. Kleenex was not refilled. It was hard to get a hold on front desk. The telephone for room service was not working so they would ask you come get your order which defeats the definition of room service. Hotel was busy so they are making enough money to properly maintain the service.

While it is an ok marriott, it is old, needs a redo, the bathroom in the room was not nice, the shower was rusty moldy corners and the vibe is dark and not modern. the area in the lobby is in theory nice to sit and hang out but all the chairs are stained etc so not nice. Then the parking. Yes there is a free covered garage, but you need to walk to it and it was raining so that wasnt the best option either. I was due to stay again in AUgust and canceled. The Courtyard a few blocks up is exceptionally nicer than this one!

Didn't expect such a low quality experience from a high-rated hotel.
