Tru By Hilton Albany Crossgates Mall

Ours was a clean room but the location next to a busy highway made it a little difficult to sleep.

Pleasant

Tru takes the idea of minimalism a little too far. The room was so sparse that there was nothing to put our luggage on. When we called the front desk the initial response was we don’t have any luggage racks. Everyone checking into a hotel has luggage. To not appreciate that reality is absurd. The hotel was clean, everything worked, but it was a little confusing being paired with another type of hotel. Luggage racks.

It was great We had a lovely time!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of choices. The only downside was the indoor pool, which was cold. Would stay again.

The room was small and didn’t even have a place to put your luggage. No closet at all. Not a single drawer to unpack a suitcase. Felt more like a motel on the side of a highway than a Hilton property. They call it “minimalist design”, I call it unnecessarily inconvenient. Not sure what Hilton was thinking when they put their name on this chain. I definitely do not recommend this hotel for more than an overnight stay. And for the price, you can definitely find way better options.

Extremely bare hotel room.

clean N/A

It was close to the mall for shopping. Hiltons computer system was down world wide. Later in the evening a stranger was assigned our room and walked in our room. It was terrifying and I couldn’t sleep at all that night.

Superb

Excellent; lots of choices, staff very friendly and helpful Nothing

Staff was friendly. Game room was a plus for the kids. Room was clean. It was close to where we were going and the staff made sure we got a room next to the family we were meeting there. Pool area could have been warmer. It was cool to swim there. It was a pet friendly hotel, which is ok, but guests didn't care if there large dogs barked and nothing was done to get them to quiet them down.
