Sheraton Suites Old Town Alexandria

The property was listed to have a microwave and it didn't... also I booked a balcony city view room and I had to argue with the front desk who said I didn't.

I went for work and the stay was great. The room was clean, spacious and the hot breakfast was a plus for me since that was great for my stay.

Breakfast was perfect for me. That staff was friendly and very responsive to requests and questions. They reacted immediately when I shared with them that the elevator door was jamming partially open. The gym had everything I wanted, was clean and well-maintained. Having one of two elevators out of commission was very frustrating during busy times.

Service was a little slow. Room housekeeping was inconsistent. Had to ask for coffee and cups. Only one elevator worked for the entire hotel so they were over crowded and had a long wait.

Cleanliness Shuttle service

Cleanliness and very attentive staff, close to things Elevator was really slow , had to wait long for elevator

Location I was having my reservation for a suite with balcony but when checking in the told me that I have to pay 15$ extra to have a balcony which I find it realy very small one . In the breakfast I asked for espresso with the breakfast and they told me that I have to pay 5 $ for espresso coffee as it is not included .

At Breakfast which was very enjoyable, the Staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel did not honor our confirmation with Expedia. Stated that their computer system does not receive communications with Expedia. “A known problem that hasn’t been resolved.” Luckily we had elected to pay at the hotel so no money exchanged with Expedia other than trip protection and we secured a room thru the hotel reservation system. Not a reassuring experience and definitely impacted my trust with Expedia confirmation.

Everything was wonderful except the chargers in the table in the living room did not work but we always carry extension cords and surge protectors so it was not a big deal. The desk staff were so great, friendly, helpful and courteous. The rooms were kept very clean and neat which we always appreciate.

We had a great 5 day stay at the hotel. It was conveniently located for everything we did, from going into DC to Mount Vernon. The rooms were great and housekeeping did a great job every day in providing us with clean towels and making the bed. But I especially want to call out David, the attendant in the restaurant. I'm not going to call him a server, because he actually did more than that. He is a gem and a great asset to your hotel. Each morning he happily greated us, after the first day, knew the beverage we wanted with our breakfast, chatted with us and was a pleasure seeing and speaking with him each morning.

Overall I had a good experience. However, the registration staff got my room request WRONG and they were unwilling to make it right. Not good, Not what I reserved. They didn’t make it right!
